I just realised whenever I get hit my screen just goes red, so this might help

the first picture is the old indicator, and it shows from all directions, most of the time its just one.
one indicator in the new one is about the same size but a little slimmer

Much nicer than the original. No gradient transparency, but much sharper edges.
