ITALY (BENITO MUSSOLINI)
Unique Trait: Mare Nostrum
Capturing coastal cities expands their sea borders and boosts their starting Production for any Buildings that already exist in the Capital. Naval Units receive doubled Movement when war is declared.

Unique Unit: Littorio-class
The Littorio-class replaces the Battleship for Italy under Benito Mussolini. Unlike the Battleship, this unit defends 33% better against both Air and Naval Units. It also fights 15% more effectively against other Naval Units. Use these ships to protect your burgeoning coastal empire.

Unique Unit: Carabinier
The unique Carabinier unit is only available to Italy. Unlike the Infantry that it replaces, the Carabinier gains a 15% Combat Bonus when fighting against other Gun Units. In addition, garrisoned Carabinier halve the number of turns in which a city is in Resistance for. Station these units in freshly conquered cities to ensure rapid compliance and the best defense against recapture.

  • Fixed animation error with the Littorio-class model.
  • Separated the two Carabinier effects into separate promotions for clarity.
  • Littorio-class no longer begins with the Coastal Raider promo but receives a +33% Defense vs Air and Naval Units and a further +15% Attack vs Naval Units.
  • Various text, supports, and code standardizations/optimizations.
  • Replaced alert message with notification for clarity when certain effects take place.
  • Fixed issue with ambience in the leaderscene not looping correctly.
  • Fixed black outlines on Civ Icon and Unit Flag alphas.
  • Fixed issue where the ambience in the leaderscene overwrote the music.

In GameDefines.sql, Civilization_UnitClassOverrides, Carabinier replaces UNITCLASS_GREAT_WAR_INFANTRY. As as result, both great war infantry and Carabinier cannot be produced. Only stand infantry can be produced.

Cannot download .civ5mod file. You cannot find the file by following the directions in the instructions.
Can't you remove these mud that you can't use?
