MECH MOD 1.31 Rev 2

The primary goal of this Mod is to put in place a framework for character improvment. If you enjoy investing in your Staff and watching them grow and improve over time, then you've come to the right place.

The secondary goal is to make the game slightly less predictable by evening the playing field all across the board.

Drivers, Mechanics, & Designers:

-All stats for Improvement Rates and Potential have been increased quite a bit. You should see a nice increase in Improvement Rate and Max Potential, but it shouldn't be too crazy. After about 20 years in game, you will see quite a few more maxed our Characters, but there will still be plenty of crappers hanging around.

-All Performance Stats of ALL Drivers have been re-randomized and then slightly decreased.
-All Performance Stats of ALL Mechanics have been re-randomized and then slightly decreased.
-All Performance Stats of ALL Designers have been re-randomized and then slightly decreased.

-All Drivers Stats for Morale and Marketability have been randomized.
-The initial names of Drivers and their assigned Teams have been left in place.
-Initial Team Drivers have had their race history removed.
-All Initial Team Drivers, Mechanics, and Engineers have had their salaries normalized, leading to quite a sizable decrease across the board.
-All Initial Team Drivers, Mechanics, and Engineers have had their Contracts set to expire after the first season

-All Initial Driver Traits were removed. They were then randomly assigned 2 Traits.
-The Pay Driver Trait has been removed. It's ridiculously unbalanced and I couldnt figure out how to change it.
-All Mechanic Bonuses were removed. They were then randomly assigned 2 new bonuses.
-All Designer "Known Component" Traits were removed. They were then weighted and randomized by rarity and reassigned. This has lead to a greater increase in the appearance "Known Components" for Designers, but still a nice mix.

-Peak Ages have been randomized, but generally increased
-Peak Durations have been randomized, but generally increased

-Hundreds and hundreds of new Drivers have been added
-Hundreds of new Mechanics have been added
-Hundreds of new Designers have been added

HQ & Buildings:

-All HQ Sizes and Site spaces have been normalized
-All building costs have been repriced based on importance, leading to a general increase.
-All building and upgrade times have been normalized based upon cost, leading to a general decrease
-All building upkeeps have been normalized based upon cost, leading to a general increase
-Road Car Factory and Themepark have had their costs cut dramtically as well as their incomes.
-The Tour Centre now generates more income, but costs more to initially build.
-The beginning Design Centre and Factory initial starting levels have been changed to Level 3 for WMC and Level 2 for all other Championships
-WMC and GT Championship teams start with a Logistics Centre 1.

-All other building initial levels have been randomized, then re-randomized, then randomly assigned based upon their appropriate Championship Level. I'm hoping this will lead to some interesting new starts for everyone.

Teams:

-Starting Cash has been normalized across all Championships. Higher Championships start with more.
-Race Payment Offsets have been normalized for all Championships, leading to a slight increase.
-AI Aggression of all Teams has been raised almost to the max for everyone.

Car Design:

-Car Chassis Stats have all been mostly normalized.
-Starting Default Parts have all been normalized across all Championships.
-Part Suppliers have all been normalized. You'll see what this is when you go to re-build your car in pre-season.

I find the car re-disgning everyear to be fairly weak game mechanic. It rewards those with money, whom are already winning, and punishes those without money, whom are in most need of improvements.

I've essentially tried to minimize its impact on the game.

No sponsors or logos???

Nope. The sponsor mods I found all seem to greatly increase the money payments, which kinda goes against the philosophy of what I'm going for here.

I'm open to suggestions though...

@HiGh-O- why don't you use Cheat Engine if you're needing more money for upgrades...? I set my money at 999,999,999 and that's more than enough money even with creating a team in F1 ;o) Plus I only use ICE mod (no offence to Mechanixm) I only just checked his mod right now to see if it was worth getting or not...

1.41 has been released. It does not contain the Chassis modifications.

Great concept, but it breaks the GT mode. All AI teams are bankrupt the second season due to the immense chassis costs. In vanilla a chassis ranged from 3 to 12 million. Now it starts at 15. All teams just stop functioning. Also, the increased HQ costs make it impossible to run an upgraded HQ since the income doesn't change.
