In just now, I have completed the reset of the project. Enjoy.

2023/12/28 I am going to reset this MOD to remove the muzzle flame coloring to make this MOD more pure (and fix the game crash caused by this MOD being outdated). This may take a while, but it's not a problem. I'm looking forward to the end result myself.

Try loading sort by loading this MOD at the top.
If it still doesn't work please report an error and I will update it.

mod used to work for me, now it doesn't. it isn't conflicting with anything, it just simply won't work anymore. any advice?

You should do the following (this operation is for MOD sorting, you can use compressed file to back up the changed files for later use):
1. Open the game and load the MOD (note that you need to stay in the main menu, your interface should not be in the Addons menu at this point)
2. Open the Steam page, right click Left 4 Dead 2, Left click Manage, Left click browse local files (this is to open the root directory of the game, you can operate by yourself)
3. Find the [Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2] folder, find [addonlist.txt] in this folder, open it.
4. Find the MODID(copy the URL on Steam and paste it into any text box to get id=XXXXXXX)
5. Cut the required MODID to the first position and save the file
6. Return to the game interface, click Addons, enter the Addons menu, click OK to return to the main menu, repeat the operation
7, enjoy!
