I have updated my mod, it no longer fully overrides the map_modes.txt file. I haven't had the opportunity to use your mod yet, but I do plan on it. I just wanted to give you a heads up, if Astrolabe doesn't make changes to default parameters, or the roads and road_builder map modes, then it might not need a Compatch anymore

Astrolabe and Better Road Builder both modify the mapmodes.txt file. Astrolabe’s core feature (the change to country tooltip behavior) is contained in that file. Because both mods edit the same resource, enabling BRR will prevent Astrolabe from working properly and vice versa

what exactly is the compatibility issue, I have both and haven’t noticed anything strange?
