I rate Hidden Hijinks: No Cats in the Orgy, Please! 3.5/5. Pretty good overall though I wish the game had more options and more images and while inexpensive, this game is quite short, taking me only 2 hours to fully complete (including getting all 20 of its steam achievements).

The object of this game is to find and click on depictions of ♥♥♥♥♥cats hidden in amongst a large, elaborate sex orgy scene. The basic humor here is fairly obvious, as in addition to the fact that you are looking for “♥♥♥♥♥♥♥” at an orgy, this game exists as a parody of the numerous other find-a-cat games which have already been released on Steam where you find cute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hidden amongst other elaborate drawings. Hopefully, someday this artist will create a sequel where you look for chickens (or “♥♥♥♥♥”) in a different but equally elaborate orgy scene.


Good things:

+ The artwork in this game is an intrinsically good piece of art, serving to promote liberalism, equality, diversity and true social freedom beyond the antiquated, conventional constraints of traditional and conservative concepts of society. To me, this art exists as a protest against the various hypocritical, racist, misogynist and authoritarian political, social and religious groups which have reared their ugly heads, having, through lies and violence, gained power in this world.

+The art (which can be zoomed in and out and is of a very high resolution) is also fun to look at and explore and is at least adequately erotic. An amazingly wide variety of sexual behaviors and tastes are on display.

+it is easy to take many screenshots of this game’s artwork at many different zoom levels.

+ It is very good that the vast majority of guests in the artwork look like they are having a great time, whatever their particular sexual practices are.


Mediocre things:

+/- I did not see an option to rebound or adjust any of the controls (other than the volume of the music) but they all worked perfectly well.

+/- I thought the music sounded a bit too sleazy so I quickly turned the music volume down. I would’ve preferred soft, slow, deep drums in the background.

+/- It is a good, detailed addition to include a janitor in the scene but the janitor looks frustrated. It would’ve made more sense to have a few masochists (perhaps wearing sensory deprivation suits (but ones which they can see out of)) as janitors or perhaps otherwise make use of s/m submissives to temporarily serve as janitors and/or servants.

+/- The bathroom part of the scene would’ve been fun to see on the surface were it not for the fact that one of the guests badly needs to use the restroom but is unable to do so. This is not fun to look at and suggests that there may be inadequate restrooms overall. Such large orgies require restrooms (ideally multiple restrooms) dedicated to guests being able to use them as such otherwise major problems will arise. This depiction of someone needing to use the restroom is not erotically ideal and I did not find it particularly funny. Sex in restrooms should generally be the domain of smaller, more tightly knit group sex activities. As an admirer of this artwork, my mind should not have been led onto this unpleasant, un-erotic train of thought in the first place.

+/- The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are generally quite cute but there was one which was quite tricky; it wasn’t an actual ♥♥♥♥♥ but was instead a person with a couple cat styled accoutrements which counted as a ♥♥♥♥♥. In terms of having consistent gameplay, this was a terrible idea.

+/- I would’ve preferred seeing more individuals wearing jewelry such as anklets, armlets, bracelets, pectoral necklaces, belly chains, etc. and light clothing such as short halter tops, short crop tops, short skirts, etc. The guests were almost uniformly completely nude. It is good however that a few were wearing chokers but they were mostly of the same design. I did appreciate though that most of the guests depicted were not heavily tattooed (as too many tattoos can easily look trashy I think, like a car with too many bumper stickers unless the tattoos are part of some unified overall design like tiger stripes (the equivalent of a car having racing stripes)). The inclusion of the wide variety of skin tones and body types is fantastic though.


Bad things:

- Not enough visual options. When searching for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to click on (most of the game) you have to work with a wireframe 2-tone drawing of the art. Only once you find all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does the line art get filled in and colorfully revealed in all its glory. I would’ve preferred to look for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the fully fleshed out artwork to begin with.

- This artwork includes depictions of drinking alcohol by those at the orgy. Though this was commonly done in ancient times at orgies I think it is a terrible idea in modern times. Providing alcohol at an orgy can result in intoxication and this can lead to several bad things which nearly no one wants in the modern world (or in an ideal utopian futuristic world):

1) Drunkenness often leads to vomiting. Not very many people in the modern world want to be around others who are vomiting while they indulge in sex. In ancient times people had strong stomachs and could find humor in seeing others randomly suffer. Now, more people have learned to have a little bit more empathy and seeing others vomit is something they’d usually like to avoid.

2) Drunkenness can lead passing out. Passing out can result in choking to death on vomit without others being aware. At a wild enough orgy, people could die from various complications of severe intoxication. This no doubt happened in ancient times too.

3) Drunkenness could easily lead to rape. In ancient times during such orgiastic celebrations an ancient society probably wouldn’t care very much whether rape occurred within the context of a huge drunken orgy but we might care now and if this game’s orgy is depicting some ideal, utopian future, I think they would care too.

It is telling that nearly all swinger or sex clubs which actually exist expressly forbid the serving of any alcohol on their premises. Consuming alcohol at an orgy is simply a bad idea in the modern world. Besides, if you do things while intoxicated that you wouldn’t ever do when you were sober, is what you do still a true expression of freedom and liberality? Not so much. The presence of alcohol in the scene undercuts the artwork’s potential message of true freedom.

- I wish there were additional images to find ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (or perhaps ♥♥♥♥♥) within depicting additional orgiastic situations. Having only one image makes this game too short. I hope there will be meaningful (in terms of gameplay) DLC content featuring even more art eventually.

Additional scenes could depict different ratios of males to females (10-20 females versus hundreds of males and vice versa, etc.) in addition to a wide variety of other possible environments and sexual activities. There could be a huge Halloween party for example. There could be a fantasy scene involving elves and goblins and orcs and such. There could even be orgiastic scenes which metaphorically show a satirical representation of modern society (along the lines of William Hogarth). There are numerous possibilities for DLCs or sequels to this little game and I would be willing to pay more if the game has more art.
