Before playing Mirage I kinda hated the game the way an only child hates a new baby. I didn't like it because it wasn't what I wanted at the time. I would've preferred that Torn Banner make another Chivalry rather than some Middle Eastern Magic bullhonk.

Boy howdy have I changed my mind.

This game is amazing fun, although it isn't a raw translation from Chiv's Combat to Mirage's. Having experience in Chivalry will definitly help you figure out the game but it plays in such a unique way as well.

Where to start...

Pros:
  • Fun Combat: although feels a little slower than chiv in an x plane sense (forwards, backwards) but thats because the gameplay is also designed around y plane movement (you can wall jump and vault over props) which leads to very dynamic and intense battles, I'll go into vague detail of each character shortly.
  • There's creative character and map design.
  • There's a fair balancing system during deathmatches where a team will not have a static spawn, the spawns will be moved according to enemy presence/position on the map, which in turn prevents spawn camping and shut ins.
  • Each character has it's own feel and helps players mix and match strategy, playstyle, weapons and various spells to find their perfect gameplay.
  • There are more than just 6v6 modes and servers.

Now for the combat roles

First off you've got the Berserkers, a very offense oriented character tossing boulders around, swinging their massive two handers around like madmen and using magically boosted charges and flaming punches to keep the pressure on.

Then theres the Assassin that is focused on flanking and evasive fight and kite style combat to slowly wear down their prey and strike when they least expect it.

The Defenders have the most health and most durability and can throw down a bubble shield which blocks all enemy projectile spells from entering.

The Thieves may not be the strongest or most durable, but they are valuable as a utility class to support the main combatants, they can pull people towards them Scorpion from MK style with a rope dart and can throw down mines to soften up and alert the presence of flanking enemies.

The Thin Wizards, though having low durability, have abilities that focus on offensive magic to decimate their foes from out of range, and you can choose from either fireballs which track your cursor position or a flame sword as your main weapon.

The Fat Wizards having healing spells, either tossing a magic bomb that heals allies or dropping a magic station that sprays a healing potion in a radius around it.

And the cherry on top of the entire matter is that the Berserker sounds like Randy Savage.
Macho Macho Mage

Btw the classes aren't that unimaginative with the names, I just forgot what they're actually called.

After going in with a closed mindset, playing for at least 3 hours and scoring top of the leaderboard for 15 matches in a row on 10v10 deathmatch, I can say that this game is very enjoyable and well worth the current cost. I did play a few matches of Payload, Capture Points/King of the Hill (the hill[s] move around the map) and Capture the Payload (Another good balance is that to break stalemates in CTP they have these sub-objectives that will grant points to whoever captures them) and my only real problem with any of the modes is that the attackers are limited to 40 lives for the team when pushing the payload, Torn Banner, if you see this please increase the lives to like 60 or 75 maybe, or remove it altogether and make the timer for payload shorter.

Oh yeah,
I have to talk about cons :/

Cons:
  • Dead on Delivery- This game wasn't very well recieved at first due to general disinterest from the community and because Steam refused to advertise it while it was on sale (Not a single ad or link to the store page the entire time) meaning that it's player base is nearly non-existant, sometimes resulting in as few as 3 people online during peak regional hours But if people actually buy it and play it then it won't be dead, simple as that :D
  • A smallish amount of maps- Much like early Chiv, the devs only have a handful of maps (I think 12 or 13, I didn't count exactly) that get cycled through. However they are really well designed and each have their own unique layout.
  • Change in the combat mechanics- This isn't necessarily a con, but you shouldn't come into this assuming that it will be copy and paste for the way Chivalry works. The swings feel a bit more like Deadliest Warrior and sometimes the animations are a bit questionable but so are the animations in Chiv
    Claymore Riposte Animation DLC when?

Though it might have some nitpicky problems, I still had an amazing time playing this game and I will be severely disappointed if more people don't get to experience it. I'll gladly welcome Chivalry's distant cousin from the East into my game library and have a brilliant time pouring more gameplay hours into it

Seeing how the game is still in it's infancy, it will be a bit touch and go here and there but overall I highly recommend this game to anyone of any level of Chivalry experience and any newcomers as well. I had great fun and I fully intend to buy the special edition for $10
as soon as I have the available funds ;_;

All servers are either dedicated to "roleplay" or have a ping of 500, sometimes both.
Great concept, terrible community, greedy devs

The Developers of Brink actually managed something good this time around, a fast paced, action fps game set in Britain after some type of war that left it ridden with radiation.

However, they need extra cash because Brink flopped so hard, so unfortunately, the game is mostly Pay to Win.
You have to buy all aside from 2 mercenaries, and the prices have doubled for each merc, so buying them with in game currency is damned near impossible now unless you're a devote acolyte playing 24/7.

6.5/10
Pro:
-Great/Dynamic gameplay
-Good replayability
-Fun team/class based combat
-Free to play
Con:
-Beta
-Devs of Brink
-Pay to Win
-Severe Pay to Win induced gap between Payers and Free to Players for balanced gameplay

This game is a prime example of how fun shooters used to be
We need another Unreal Tournament
Enough with the generic CoD style

Great fun, not enough players,
9/10

No, do not buy this game
Developers are only concerned with money through DLC, there is no balance between the new characters/monsters
"Improved" matchmaking is much slower and more frusterating than the older system
Use your money wisely and Buy a better game, or maybe use it to start a poll for Valve to buy TurtleRock and only let them work on a Left4Dead3
This game has made jetpacks uncool
Gorgon needs a nerf
5/10- Greedy/Uncaring Devs, Too much DLC, DLC is unfair and unbalanced, Replayable but boring

Depth, a new spin on shooters.

Depth is a 1st/3rd Person shooter that pits Humans against Sharks. 4 Humans, 2 Sharks, 1 winner. Divers swim around and collect treasure while at the same time protecting a little robotic submarine named S.T.E.V.E. that cuts open the safes and treasure boxes of submerged locales. Humans collect treasure to buy better weapons/gear to defend themselves(And the robot) such as a Spearguns and Sonar Beacons, While Sharks try to devour the tasty little meatbags to gain "Evolution Points" to sharpen their hunting skills.

The game takes place entirely underwater, so this provides a new mindset for strategy. Rather than just camp in a corner with a machine gun, you can swim in any direction to look for loot and dodge the Sharks (¡Olé!), After playing so many other generic shooters, these opportunities to be attack from literally, any direction, can really blindside you. As your heart beats faster and faster as a Shark gets closer to you, you look around trying to figure out from which direction, suddenly you're inside the clamped maw of a toothy fish, it attacked you from above. This major detail of the game is what really sets it aside from others.

Pretty great game overall, not really able to put into words, one of those things you have to experience, highly recommended. Worth every penny at full price, and only more so if you get it on sale.

Pros:
-Great concept
-Fun gameplay
-Good replayability
-Very atmospheric
-New look on shooters
-East coast and West coast servers (Also Europe and Asia)
-3D Enviroment (Swim Up, Swim Down, Swim Forward)

Cons:
-Only about nine or ten maps
-Servers seem to be run in either California or Maine (Ping)
-3 gamemodes, but only 1 is ever played
-Requires a gaming mouse (Thrashing as a Shark is impossible otherwise)
