I wish there was an option to post a mixed review, but since there isn't one, i would not recommend this game, specially if you are looking for a good Myst like experience.
It does have the appearance and the graphics for a good Myst like game, but the gameplay, story and puzzles are not up to the task.

The graphics are awesome, really bringing the vibes of Riven and sometimes Exile, but on a different setting, I really appreciate it. Navigation is up to what is required with little “hidden paths out on plain sight”. If there are, they would be telegraph correctly, no need to scan the screen for the magic cursor change to reveal a not so obvious path.

Puzzles are really bad, they mostly resolve to codes of symbols, numbers or colors matching, on the same kind of terminal interface. The thing I found really infuriating is that most of the solutions, specially during the initial and mid part of the game, were on plain sight. Like literally on the journal next to the console were the puzzle must be resolved.

There are also “puzzles” related to powering different machines with some kind of “power balls”. You are given a box full of these balls, each one having a color, a background symbol, a right side symbol and a left size with a power level. The machines that required these “balls” literally have the image of the actual ball required in front of them, no need to think anything. Just look at the image, pick the correct ball, use the ball, and done!!!. Weird that this is even here as a puzzle where there is no real thinking involve in it.


Journals..., most of them have lots exposition and usage of “alien” language jargon. Not only explaining things that don’t bring anything interesting to the table, but confusing you with constant terminology usage. The problem is not the terminology itself, but how its used, bombarding with these new terms instead of using more common valid synonyms after their meaning is established. It made me remind of pillars of eternity series in that sense. It lacks balance.
Also, most of them read like game concept journals, describing mechanics the game would need to implement, instead of something written by a living being in the setting.

The story is, weird. It a simple concept , but adorned with so much jargon and exposition that makes it feel more complicated that what it should be.
