Excellent. If they added the Empire mode from Planetfall, it could be much better. Hopefully Planetfall 2 will be made with the same level of love and enthusiasm.

Pretty freaking great. Much more realistic in many aspects of the era's politics, state, society & economy management compared to its predecessors and all the other games out there. Much easier-to-use user interface and game concepts that make the game flow smoothly as opposed to the earlier games and other games of the genre.

It especially simulates and reflects the desires, problems, and struggles of the majority of the people very well. Politics is a play that could easily be a standalone game in itself.

Army, navy, and war management are much more streamlined and more realistic. No more ping-ponging around the map, having to manage up to 100 separate arcade-toon armies playing whack-a-mole with enemy armies back and forth. There are actual fronts in the game, managed by generals appointed to those fronts, like in real life. This is a much-welcome change.

Overall a great game already.

Good story. Good atmosphere. Good game.

Amazingly well-designed world and lore, despite the lore residing in tiny description/summary text in the events etc inside the game and some dev diaries. But foremost, very well-designed factions and their armies and suitable tactics reflect their lore and define their character. Its a wonder why the developers arent making more games in this surprising universe that they created. There is potential for many different genres of games in this impressive and immersive universe.

Excellent 4x game. Big, customizable, deep, many different gameplay styles, lively universe, civilizations with character, customizable civilizations, endless gameplay. Recommended.
