I’m mad at myself for not reviewing this game upon 100% completion, but rather almost a year in advance. If any game deserves an immediate 10/10 rating, it’s Outer Wilds. I still think about aspects of the base game and DLC almost daily. For a total of 48 hours, this game put my brain in a trancelike state of calmness, curiosity and theorycrafting that I’m not sure how to replicate. I could go over the million aspects that make Outer Wilds great, be it the space exploration and sci-fi science, mystery solving, unexpected emotional rollercoasters, world+character design, dialogue, gameplay, etc, but I think the community for this game says it best when they say “Just play Outer Wilds bro, trust”
