works on windows. but as for linux and steam os don't hold your breath. yes it shows steam os and steam deck compatible. BUT only if it's a steam deck or a full pc running bazzite. if you run official steam os or bazzite on like the legion go, rog alley /x or even anything running Linux on any other hand held don't even bother holding your breath. i only reccommend this to anyone on a pc nothing more, if your on handheld don't trust the lies of it being "steam os compatible/Steam deck compatible" when it isn't.

a game of epic proportion. D4 got nothing on this game and it is just coming for more. difficulty of dark souls meets POE and D2 all over again. dodge is your best friend.

ok lets start..

pro's
- controls on pc and xbox are amazing. not complicated at all.
- FSR is a thing and it does so much better than anything else on there
- mmo and solo and co op all in one for non stop fun to play it ya way.
- GFX just work but in typical path of Exile format.

con's
- GFX are just like path of exile format, yes my beefy 7900 xtx with 7950x on an nvme barely push 55 fps on default. DX11 makes it push beyond 60 fps though.
- it's early access so there will be glitches, a few times the local server overloaded and got booted just to be in a 40k queue wait but went fairly quick.
- microtransactions. yup they are a thing somethings are just nuts like the need for more characters or even for more stash slots. but hey even a hungry dev needs to eat.
- bosses are tough. not so much a con but more a long the lines of watch out as it will keep you on your toes, and not for relaxing on the edge of your seat gaming. but hey some people don't like a challenge. but heres where it becomes a con, it's not for everyone, as some people cannot keep up and will loose a lot of hair.

so far a 9 outta 10 in my book as it works on something as simple as my steam deck and even my gpd win 3. has an all round exp and just the game i've needed to feed my need for something like this.

a remake... no re MASTER of the great Half-life game. story is amazing, updated GFX blows everything outta proportion as it even works on the steam deck. modern day controls and video settings for widescreens. the works!! may have only a few hours in on this game but i've gotten a good chunk of the game down before the huge Xen update! should i recommend the game to others, oh Heck yeah! would i like to see them do a Black mesa 2.

FOR DEMOCRACY!! falling into hell itself to keep super earth safe from all opposing invaders from space. play with friends or with randoms.

the beginning is a little slow. and been playing off and on since the beta back in 2010. i will say the game has become a masterpiece with all thats been added the missions the world all together is beautiful. if you want a break from your wow or other mmo this is def a game that brings new life to your Final Fantasy fandom.

Been playing a reviewers copy, and i will say. this game is amazing!

1. brings back memories of the old lucas arts point and click adventures with puzzles w/ a kinda 1970's Disney art style that will blow your mind!

2. an active fight and adventure feel as you are able to jump between action mode and puzzle mode, giving that amazing feeling of classics reborn.

3. (this one takes the cake) a story with voice overs of epic proportion, keeping the player deeply invested into the game and adventure for a long long time.

tested on an Aya Neo, GPD win 3, and steam Deck so if anyone thinks the game will be a challenge for integrated hardware it will not be! AMD's APU chugs it along like a boss and same with intel's Xe Gfx, more so the steam deck running linux and proton on both official and GE runs the game with no hitch or Glitch in the matter! would easy give this game a 10 outta 10. keep up the great work CowCat you have officially brought me back to my childhood days and loving it.
