I see a LOT of people claiming this is better than B4B, but I check out what games they play, and never see B4B listed. So, as someone who put in 100hrs the week of B4B release, I wanted to check out THIS game and see what it was like. The other reviews for THIS made me excited to kill more zombies. Since I had actually played B4B, I thought I could give an honest review comparing the two as well seeing as most other reviews just had one sentence saying "this was better than b4b" without any real detail or explanation. This review will be in 2 parts and the first part will be First Impressions, meaning the first hour of game play, general overview with more focus on cosmetic design than detailed game play. My second impression will focus on more of the technical aspects of the game as I give it another go!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

ZEKES/RIDDEN: I was NOT, in fact, blown away by this game as I had been in B4B. I was actually bored of it by the end of one chapter and with 41 minutes of game play. The graphics are good, but I found the Zeke's to be boring. You have way more Zeke's than you do Ridden (Minus a Horde) but there is no definition or detail to the Zekes that make the Ridden fun and unique. I'm a sucker for details but not everyone else is, and I get that so don't come for me! B4B also has more unique ridden with different characteristics that make them their own powerhouse and super dangerous if you get a horde of specials rocking your way. I found on my INITIAL play through that WWZ lacks this which again had me bored.

CHARACTERS: You get MORE characters to choose from in WWZ but I did have some difficulties in choosing a character that I liked and wanted to explore when starting a chapter. This can very well be user error, but B4B definitely has an easier way in which to choose what character to play and how to customize it. WWZ beats them on # of playable characters, however, and I do LOVE a good variety!

POV Toggle: I prefer first person, and it was a pain to figure out how to acquire that view in game. I had a friend help me and cover for me so I could switch over mid chapter to First person view and be able to actually get sh*t done!

MAP: I do love how you are not restricted to one map in regards to you are not limited to one city and it's general area as what you experience in B4B. I did like this very much and the map I did play on my First Impression was beautifully made. The run down mall in the frozen hell landscape was perfection.

WEAPONS: In B4B you can customize weapons with various mods to upgrade it and you have different level of weapons pre modded that impact damage dealt. In WWZ, you don't have to worry about mods, you grab your guns and you go, go, go. I love the modded aspect of B4B, but that does tend to slow you down when you are on a map and you are trying to switch out guns AND keep your mods. So, not having to worry about it during a game is a perk. I did find it strange the way you have to choose and rotate through what weapons you want to use. I love to run mielee and it was annoying to have to keep hitting F over and over to slash and dash zekes and not be able to keep out my mielee weapon. Again, this is a first impression review as the game is laid out without tweaking so don't come at me. I plan to try and tweak and edit my settings to make it an easier handling for weapons with my next shot.

OBJECTIVES: Based ONLY on first chapter play through, WWZ is you bunker down and protect an area where "mostly" in B4b, you are running and clearing out an entire map WITH predetermined objectives laid out at the beginning of the round (Minus the Bar and Dinner). More defensive (in WWZ) than offensive game play (as in B4B) across a map.

**NOTE: I did not watch any play through of WWZ or B4B prior to playing either game. This limits me to only what I have done so far but also allows for an unbiased review based on MY preferences/experiences**
