Matthew 5:43-48 JKV
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
We are to be gentle, not pushy, be wise and know when to speak and when to bite thy tongue. Let them bring it up rather than you or if conversation starts to shift that way, take advantage of it. Never try to force your thoughts, morals, or beliefs on those who do not seek to hear. Remember, we are talking about souls and saving people here, you do not want to push people away, you want to bring them closer, to a position of greater trust in you, then will they hear you even if only for a moment and shalt be hesitant to push you away. Many people have already made up their minds, many do not want to hear, at least not right away, it is safer then to speak up when they talk about religion or when they inquire from you. Do not admonish your brother right away, gain a mutual respect for one another first, it takes time.
