You can use the crosshair or the gun scope at any range with the exact same results depending on which type of fps you feel most comfortable with. Beware theres enough players who would get down on their knees as soon as they see you , constantly crouch (and walk crouched sometimes) or simply hide behind a box or in a corner and wait there happily. Just like in CSGO, watch your minimap at all times to spot them. If you dont want to appear on the enemy's minimap just use a silencer the whole time. Also the grenade launchers from the weapons are perfect if you think someone is hiding after a corner or in a room, just use the launcher before entering the room and you might kill the guy or seriously damage him.
