Basically Quake but for men that inject steroids and snort powdered fun

YES!

Switching to negative, because wow. After almost 50 hours it made me realize how much is wrong here.

Gameplay: No invite only games, forced to play with 50 billion people which causes countless physics breaking bugs amongst other factors that ruin gameplay. Nothing to do to level up much after you beat everything, I beat every challenge on the map. Free skating isn't fun because the map is pretty stale and free skating is filled with being shot off your board every 3 seconds. Quests are boring and underwhelming too, not much challenge other than dealing with game breaking bugs messing up your line.

Cosmetics: The cosmetics are stupid and uninspired. Forced to wear your cap forwards, no ability to change where it sits? Come on. Let's also talk about the variants of colors. Since you can't just change the color, your forced to have your clothing inventory bloated at all times when you open crates for different colors of the same items. Why don't they just add an option to change the way something is worn with a color selector with items locked? Another gripe is that you can't even get plain white or plain black socks unless you want a trans flag or lgbtq flag on them. I have nothing against the communities the bright colors just don't match with my fits. I'd like to be able to change the colors, having them locked and bloated in your inventory whilst taking away a lot of colors in exchange for more things to unlock is uninspired and dumb.

Quest menu: Why is there not a quest menu for each region similar to GTA's ability to navigate through a list. Finding some quests stacked up with 3 others can go unnoticed, it's very stupid. Just add a list or the ability to cycle between points of interest with your dpad rather than free scrolling through it.

Story: There is no story but everyone would like one. Preferably without the most annoying AI voice over I've ever heard in my life with the most god awful writing attached. Feels like that forsaken game that came out. Add a coach frank DLC, that's free money for you.

Skipping: The inability to skip cutscenes for challenges or your lines is annoying, especially if you've redone the challenges 4+ times. It's goofy.

Extra thought: The title "skate." is beyond dumb. Change it to Skate Online, it's not "skate." and it ruins query results for people trying to find this game amongst the other skates. Skate. is dumb.

Final thoughts: The bones of this game are phenomenal but everything surrounding just makes the experience bad once you play enough. The gameplay just doesn't hold up at all because everything in the game is louder than the gameplay. I don't recommend it, I put in a lot of hours. I put in $50 and I feel scammed, there's not much this game has to offer other than mediocre and a terribly vision of action. A lot of the people working at EA are jokes. You should hire me, give me a whip and a whiteboard. I will get make this game good, I will whip every dev into making my vision into a reality. This game is buns.

Needs option to disable music without disabling sound, maybe a list of options when hitting esc? Music is extremely annoying. Encountered a weird bug when adding ante too fast causes size of chips to increase to the point where I have to close the game. That's just the first 5 minutes of playtime too. Needs more going on for it, too simple imo. Good if you want a simple game of blackjack but I feel as a browser game would be better.

ONLY REASON I'M GIVING A NEGATIVE REVIEW IS SO DEVS SEE THIS!

This game is beyond solid in every way, everything but the camera angle. I really dislike the camera angles, could you make one where it's just top down? Something where I don't have to switch angles? None of them really seem to do the trick in my opinion. Besides that this game is AMAZING! I will update my review if there is a way to disable the manual camera swapping for favor of something automatic that isn't tilted awkwardly.
