This game is like a cheaper, top-down version of Armored Core! Takes a few hours of gameplay to customize the controls how you prefer, but once you get it down, you feel incredibly agile and powerful.

The diversity of parts to unlock and choose is insane, and the progression system is enormous and flexible.

Like many other reviewers pointed out, the third floor has an insane difficulty spike, but don't let that deter you. I think it plays well into the narrative: you control a scrapper robot that's surviving by stealing/piloting other robots. Personally, I find that the desperation you can feel during difficult combat scenarios makes the gameplay more immersive and grounded in the game world.

Overall, give it a go! You can experience enough of the game in under 2 hours if you're scared about the refund window.

Unfortunately, this game uses bots in its ranked matches. On top of that, the developers thought it would be a good idea to reset player currencies at the end of each season, which aggressively enforces to players that they can't even save what they grind for in order to access upcoming content.

This is a free-to-play 6v6, 3v3, and extraction shooter mecha game. Peak gameplay with a really solid selection of classes/mechas. All mechas are unlockable through gameplay alone.

Funnily enough, the 6v6 mode switches up game modes akin to Splatoon, which keeps gameplay fresh. I like it quite a bit. It is additionally worth noting that the extraction mode is also the first extraction experience that I've enjoyed.
