Feels like one guys mod content: Unbalanced and boring, unpolished in comparison to vanilla. More does not equate to better, especially when the "more" is subpar.

And the sudden mechanic changes when a boss becomes the center of screen? Causing you to lose all frame of reference for your character because, guess what? I STILL can't see them amidst all the particle effects. But nah, lets keep adding more particle effects and add more ways for the player to lose track of where they are instead of taking two minutes to ensure the player can always see their character.

How hard is it to layer the character on the top so that they're always visible? Function over visuals any day, please.

Played an average of 4 hours/day since I first started it, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Progress is slow but steady; gameplay is enjoyable, relaxing, and extremely forgiving.
Your enjoyment is bound by your creative limitations, as well as limitations in building (i.e. bridge placement, lack of certain types of decorations.) Early access with a community-feedback-driven developer (yes, just one dev), so I'm sure we'll get more stuff eventually :)

A proper sequel

- My only gripe was the difficulty--combat was far too easy, final boss fight was pretty brainless to complete. I didn't ever need a dream fluff (revive on death) and had to go back and intentionally die to get that achievement for 100% completion.
- Length and humor are on par with the first game, though humor is a bit less dark, and length is spread across more levels.
- The story properly intertwines with the first game and expands upon it well. It's overall rather wholesome and does a good job portraying the various mental illnesses.
- Level design is phenomenal, many "wow" moments when entering new areas
- Platforming difficulty is just right. Some tough sections that require multiple tries, and others that are fairly easy, especially after learning the "dive" ability.
- 1 minor visual bug and 1 teleport to world origin bug (requires exiting level and coming back to fix) over 26.6 hours

Overall a 9/10, wish it had options to increase combat difficulty.
