Yep fun

Fun to play with friends. Insert joke about not having friends and rate negatively.

I would actually try to write a decent review but everybody knows this game and nobody needs to read reviews to tell them if they want to try it, especially since it's free now.

The physics are pretty cool although there is no tutorial for the game rules anywhere. I wanted to look into why some of my serves were instant no-points but couldn't find anything.
Other than that, the main menu was bugged on first launch and I saw others had the same issue but mine was fixed with a restart. There are no players on multiplayer on any server (which by the way, clicking once then waiting for connection to the next server to cycle through all the servers is a horrible system) except I found one on EU which was horrible lag for me as I'm in Canada. Anyways, I see Eleven is a much more popular VR Table Tennis game so I'm going to try that out and hope there are active players.

Does not live up to the hype around it. Unless you have Index controllers, I do not recommend. On the Vive wands, you have to continuously hold the grips and triggers to hold onto something which is impossible for any more than a short amount of time. Also, I expected to get into shooting and stuff like in the videos right away. Nope. Enjoy an hour or so of learning horrible jumping mechanics and making your way through a parkour "puzzle" where if you fall, you restart the whole thing!
Refunding! I'll consider buying again when I get the knuckles someday, but even aside from the early gameplay, the physics and movement and everything that's supposed to feel amazing and groundbreaking for VR is a complete hoax. Everything feels so clunky, including the arms that they decided to attach to your hands. Those are weird.

Still crying myself to sleep when this game comes to mind at night. I miss it so much :c


OLD REVIEW BELOW

This is a great game and I'm sure there are a lot of people who could get really into it but for me, it lacks a lot of strategy and I can't keep playing game after game. Overall, it's an amazing game and the developers are great but I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels like there should be a little more. (Could be just because I'm used to MOBAs)

EDIT: I have been enjoying it more as I play it more and I suggest that anybody on the fence about getting this game should just get it before it becomes F2P so that they get the perks of owning all champions forever. 10/10.

EDIT 2: Very overdue for an update. Those last parts were back from the prime days of this game. The devs wanted to get in on the battle royale genre and decided to make the game mode in a separate PAID game riiight when they made this one F2P. I stopped playing it when that was announced along with most of the community as far as I know. Too bad because this was genuinely a great game that I was coming to check on in hopes that it turned around but it seems that it's abandoned.

Very fun game to play around with and great story to go along with it! 10/10 (Beat it twice)
