With a couple hundred hours in Conan Exiles and Age of Conan I had all the faith in Funcom and they have made another great one!

For the amount of hype and the price tag I expected better in some areas.
• There are too many menus and sub menus that navigating anything feels like a chore.
• The multiplayer system is a nightmare. Squads, Link Parties and Lobby should be the same thing.
• The radial menu could do with some work although the amount of customisation for it is nice.
• The story is unimaginative, especially the first half. Saving someone from trouble every mission is boring and the whole campaign is repetitive.
Cutscene > Encounter Monster > Cutscene > Cutscene > Encounter Monster > Cutscene > Cutscene > Encounter Monster > Cutscene > Cutscene > Encounter Monster
And this is far more annoying in multiplayer as you have to leave the quest, go back to camp, join someone else's quest, and run back to the monster as there is no way to do story together.
• For the system requirements I am disappointed in the quality, I recently played other games on a higher framerate, resolution and quality with the same hardware and it was visually far superior. I don't see any reason as to why this can't be the same here.
• The monster designs are fantastic, even if most towards the end of low rank are dragon variants.
• Weapon systems are very complex which is good for the hardcore players but can be overwhelming for some. An in-game list of all combos would be a nice addition.
• Some of the default controls feel flipped. Seikret auto movement and toggle focus mode to name a few.
• Character customisation is good for a modern game.
• Character voice pitch is unique and fun.
• A way of toggling collectables on the map would be nice. Sometimes I just want to see monsters and camps without all the fluff.

Unplayable in multiplayer. It was fine on launch but since then something has changed that makes the lag in multiplayer unbearable. Enemies teleporting, buildings taking minutes to load.

Changed to a positive review.
The devs seem to be making the right changes to the game and have fixed many of the issues I've been having. I'm still not a fan of the ascendency content but they've made some good changes to it.


Ascendancy locked behind the worst content from POE 1 is stupid.
I hate it
Also the enemy respawn on death feels like such an awful idea for a arpg. I'd rather xp loss.
On bosses it's fine, but trash in open world is the wrong move.
