I don't intend on keeping the negative review. Even though my experience with the game wasn't mostly positive (since now I stopped playing it), I don't want to harm the developers. Not saying that's the intention of negative reviews, most of them are truly just players telling their experiences and why they don't recommend the game, but knowing that negative reviews, in a way, harm the developers, I won't keep it

Why don't you write a review about what made you not enjoy the mechanics? The most common negative points I have seen about CrossCode were about the platforming (which exploration is all about), puzzle difficulty/enjoyment and some frustration at combat. Combat seems to be the least argued about thing, though. Usually about controls.

All of the above are fair points that I can't realistically refute. I mean I loved all of the above, but at the same time that's a lot more subjective, if someone else doesn't love it that's just how it is. I don't really like first person shooters, for example.

Maybe you could argue the story is repetitive? Nine hours in, I believe not too many new things happen story wise. Most of the story was spent for character development and getting Tronny settled in, IIRC.

Hello, XenoCode! You made me rethink my review on CrossCode. It does seem that the problems for me are the game's systems and mechanics - how the combat, quest, exploration, etc plays. Thinking back, when I used to play CrossCode, I'm now remembering there was a pretty good amount of variety on stuff you did. Since I wasn't having fun, I thought it was due to repetition, but you made me see that that's not right.

I'm also going to delete my negative review, for it defintely does make a lot more sense supporting the developers NOT putting it out, even though it says good things about them.

Thank you for respectfully giving me more clarity on my thoughts!
