Meditative and fun game with simplicity out of the box and additional complexity for higher difficulties. Easy mode is great for new players & learning the game language a bit before playing harder difficulties. Sandbox mode simply lets you play forever and is additional fun when you don't want to play with any win conditions. After about 10 hours of learning the game I switched to expert and am really enjoying it even more. I don't like the radio choices for the garage but then in my own garage I would be listening to sports broadcast.

Includes weapon skins that you can receive from drops or purchase from the steam Marketplace. The community also creates so much content for this game that they are released in official packs. You can download your favorite maps and skins for personal use regardless.
This game is constantly growing and creating fresh content and there's still the staples that we've enjoyed playing for countless hours.

Great. Even better with friends. Removes some of the ease of early Gauntlets by making each character have unique attacks and defense mechanisms. Further character customization comes from relics which you can choose based on your style. Armor 'upgrades' also appear but seem solely aesthetic and give no stats boost. Not nearly as long as previous versions of Gauntlet.

Overly simple and beating it at high difficulties just requires formulaic gameplay which is really less than fun. Halo could have translated better to this top-down but this iteration just does not hit the mark.

While the visuals and music are beautiful, the combat and movement are clunky, sluggish, and overall unresponsive.

Absurdly fun. Easy to pick up and play and getting better takes some genuine practice and focus. Feels a little pricey at $14 but grab it for yourself and 3 friends at $10 a piece and you've got 3 more reasons to love the game.

Mind-numbingly addictive. Eye-popping graphics and a brilliant soundtrack. Controls are simple on keyboard and controller. Clever dialog and slapstick character personalities make for a hilarious storyline with an enormous cast of playable characters that are brilliantly designed. Using the full roster in a single level is easy. The challenges built in to the game provide infinite hours of extended gameplay that strike at the heart of hardcore gamers rased on the classics.

I love this game. The artwork and character design are brilliant. There is an intense level of depth to the story and lore. Controls feel best designed for a controller but are easy to understand and execution of the multitude of techniques in your repertoire is effortless. The sound design is perfect for each mood, hair-raisingly chilling at some times and bleeding with sorrow at others. I could get stuck in this game time and time again and I'm glad there is replay value within single player with achievements, Vendetta mode, and online gameplay.

Frustratingly difficult in comparison to the sequel. That's why I love it. This one is definitely for the retroheads that like a game that is innately difficult but is comprised of rather simple gameplay. This is Shenmue's QTE meets Audiosurf's beat-oriented gameplay with some sort of railshooter strain of Pitfall mixed in for good measure. I owned this on the Wii and bought it again for Steam. A+
