Constant development and balance with feedback from the community, rollback netcode, and full DLC roster being completely free for the entire game's lifespan can't be beaten at its full price, much less at discount price.

Fully and completely recommended, despite what accounts with 5 hours of playtime complaining about the choice of free dlc might tell you.

This is the most satisfying fighting game I've played on steam so far, the good netcode is also the cherry on top.

The recent surge of interest about this game has also made that you're very likely to find people who are, just as me, entry level fighting game enthusiasts in the casual lobbies so there's plenty of fun to be had on online multiplayer mode without necessarily facing extremely experienced players all the time, if that's a concern to you when you're considering buying a fighting game that was released some years ago, it is also very comfortable to play on pad or keyboard if you're worried about committing to a fighting stick peripheral.

I come from casually playing SNK games and while it does not feel like an easy game by any means, it's very rewarding, it has great community support with people sharing resources for people on all levels of experience and proficiency on fighting games.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who is sitting on the fence about getting this game or not regardless of fighting games experience, while its age shows a bit on not having a traditional tutorial mode or other quality of life add-ons that might make newer fighting games more attractive to beginners, there's plenty of community resources to get up going and plenty of people who can make your time spent in this game a very satisfying and rewarding experience.
