game is honestly a lot of fun for what it is, it's relatively very simple in terms of gameplay mechanics but has a lot of interesting synergy capability even with a quite limited selection of forms to use. i really like the themes and aesthetics of the game, it's very compelling! the scaling feels very good and isn't a linear "your stuff deals more damage" but is much more reliant on the player's creativity and versatility.

my biggest issue so far relates entirely to the gameplay fidelity. i.e., there are a handful of mechanical issues that can be a bit disruptive. if you leave the screen too quickly while receiving a new mod slot, there's a chance that the mod slot is permanently not unlocked, making each instance of the bug a significant nerf to your run's maximum potential. there's also a LOT of stuttering when the projectile and explosion counts get on the higher end, which makes certain builds basically unplayable even in the early game.
devs seem to have majorly refined all of these complaints! huge kudos!

besides that, i think the game could definitely be improved quite a lot from where it stands;
i would like to see more options in terms of forms, i'd like a third evolution option for each form, and i think it'd be REALLY neat if it was possible to stack mods/use the mod from the primary weapon (e.g., if you get a second copy of the starting weapon you can't use it as a mod for itself, and you can't run two separate instances of the form at the same time either). even if the effect was relatively simple like running vessel as a mod on itself turning the weapon into doubleshot.

all in all, i am already having a blast with this game in the little time i've played it. i'm very impressed at how much has been achieved with so little, and i can't wait to see where it goes!
