Gunner, Heat, PC! is not finished yet, but it shows amazing potential. As the game sits right now, the campaign is just a series of disconnected "Attack", "Defend", "Spoil Attack", "Recon in Force" and "Raid" missions. Both sides have a health bar, winning a battle gives you some health back and takes the same amount away from the enemy. I have not finished the campaign yet, but I think it's pretty cut and dry. I have faith in the developers that will change as the game progresses through early development and releases.

I am not a hardcore simulator fan, I don't even really like the simulator tank battles in War Thunder. This game seems to strike the perfect balance of realistic coolness (namely ranging and ballistics) while still being fairly intuitive and fun for the casual gamer like me. Within an hour or two, you should understand most of the controls and be able to fight pretty effectively.

The combat is exciting and pretty rewarding. Hitting an enemy tank just right causes the tank to burn up or for the entire turret to excitedly pop off. The graphics and animations are really well done, and getting a good hit on a tank comes with instant feedback that is just really cool to see. My favorite part of the game though, is the voices of the crew. As the battle develops, your crew's voices will grow increasingly loud and more anxious. You'll start with calm communications like "on target" and "identified" that will eventually turn into shouts of "HE'S GOT US LINED UP" AND "KILL THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥!" as the fighting gets more intense. I would like to see this get improved with more variety, as it goes a long way to make the battles feel intense and like you actually faced a real danger.

So the game play right now is very fun, but there is a bit of repetitiveness at the moment. The game is in early access, and I am very excited to see what comes next for GHPC!
