A little bit about me:
I'm as old as the hills and have been playing games since BC (Before Computers). In about 1975 I graduated from Monopoly onto wargames such as those published by SPI and Avalon Hill; games that used paper maps, cardboard die-cut counters, extensive manuals (which one had to grok before one could even think about playing! ), and, of course, dice. Around about 1977 I discovered D&D.

All this gaming experience set me up nicely for my first full-time employment -- with Games Workshop. As part of the GWGDT* I helped playtest such games as Apocalypse (developed from The Warlord [boardgamegeek.com] -- although this saw an implementation on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum it has sadly not made it to the current iteration of computers) and Talisman .

I fully intend to continue feeding the gaming habit until I'm well into my dotage.
