Half-Life and SCP decided to have a very vigorous session of hide the sausage in Australia. 10/10 would menacingly stare at an asthmatic eldritch octopus again.

That being said I bare one complaint and one desire. The desire first, not enough ballistic weapons in the snap crackle BOOM department. we have a spear for everything so why not a gun spear? Also no usable emplacements. All automated. or the ability to make bullets (that do different things)

As for my complaint. We can't pour soup into the water coolers. I do not care if anyone asks why. My answer is why not sanity left when they chose australia for the location of GATE.

other than that, great survival game. Oh silly me, you're not the one surviving, everything else is when you staple a magazine (book) to your face (and have some patience, and do some bullying.)

The game is great. As good as I remember it way back in my childhood. And the nostalgium I got from booting it up for the first time the second time, ah the good old days when I could just take a break from the ♥♥♥♥.

Still has the same frustrations though, so be aware of that. But I will give EA praise here, they made it a one and done cheap purchase 18 quid for like 100+ hours of game. Nigh on like for like from first release. Even the scrapes that should not wreck you but do so anyway. Yeah I will remain forever salty over those. many a lost race because of those, no I do not have a skill issue it is genuinely a game issue but it is overlookable.

9/10 with nostalgium. 8/10 in general. 7/10 if you kinda suck or you get too frustrated with it.

Started out, and grinding out the police just to be a ♥♥♥♥ to a friend. First patrol and got absolutely aped by a legally distinct Lamborghini LM002.

10/10 would rozzer again.

Driving is nice too.

It's fun. and the impie gets the blickie. Cause Korea can't make it's mind up for their game theme.

in 3 years we get to wake up in a new Bugatti, or fly a Cobra MkIII cause why not.

Love the game, it's fantastic. But I have glaring issues with it. Now, anything outside of these issues I will present take note these are the issues I have, not what I like. What I like, I can only say positive.

Butt before I do get into meat and potatoes of my complaints, here's my neutral. Where's my damn AMX-004G Mass Production Qubeley! only one game outside of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 (cause I unfortunately only played DW:G2) has it, and that one plays like a turn based game without the turns. another neutral thing is it's a bit clunky and to me feels like it's missing something really really good for how this game plays, but, it is exceptional regardless. Also the price is a bit much, 30 sterling then I'd say "nah grab it when you can, it's well worth it." but 50? that's asking a bit.

Now for the complaints 3.

1. The lock on feature is infuratingly crap. you are restricted to that one target and half the time you sodding miss. we had a MUCH better lock on feature in a simpler and significantly older game. that game being the aforementioned Dynasty warriors: Gundam 2, you could freely engage other enemies with your full repertoire of abilities while keeping an eye on the mobile armour wanting to give a very violent prostate exam to you. And that was techmo koei. come on, if TK can do it anyone can.

Another annoyance, when disengaging a lock for another target in front of me. It VERY often snaps my neck for someone sniffing my breakfast tomorrow morning via my shiny gundarium ass, not the thing shooting me. cause last I checked, I DO NOT HAVE Z'GOK EYES! Well, eye. And trying to target certain points? lol not happening cause it's not the closest thing, even if you target it and intuitively think it will select what you have targeted. Scrolling through makes large ships on Elite: Dangerous fun.

2. You can and WILL get stun juggled. It's annoyingly high, but can be resolved with the common grunts. the bosses however, you get basically no chance with some of then while they force you into a corner and tell you they're feeling romantical. Still got S rank on all missions first run through so you can argue that.

3. Now this one ALL players will understand, cause steam be PC only no need to state. 3rd issue is Japan. i get console and controllers are vastly more popular, but am not keen on giving the elephants foot the time of it's radioactive life just to comfortably play this game. But ALL Japanese games are allergic to sensible and comfortable KBM controls. And while I do play Nier: Automata with a controller. That is the exception not the rule. And the absolute anguish that is dealing with Japanese KBM controls is pushing me to say "if you aren't going to make the controls good, don't release it on PC." Now that one is just across the board but needs to be said as the set up can be described as "the design is very human."

That being said, the game is very much fun, and can be very very silly. And that's great. And I do strongly recommend this game. But do keep in mind the caveats.

Though for the next one if we get mechanic aspects of the DW:G series with GB gameplay. maybe expand from the arena to arena formula for the most part. and obviously fix the lock on thing, the painful MKB controls, and the struggle snuggle juggle. I'd be hard pressed to say anything bad about the game. definitely a favourite. just hope the devs don't banjax the next one with terrible controller forcing controls for MKB, that hell spawn lock on system, and absolute no time to evade, and by extension those damndable long ass "get up" animatons.

Playerbase is so bad they are the primary driver to me making my own tank game. Do not touch this if you value yourself in any capacity in any facility. I only play custom matches with my friends at this point.

But so is the state of the "Call of Tanky" games. Just play Gunner Heat PC. cold war tanks, with an actually enjoyable (though PTSD inducing) gameplay. at least GHPC won't make you hate yourself.

Wake me up when there's a Gundam game that's actually good and has the MP Qubeley in it that isn't the DW: Gundam series.

10.2 hours in one sitting in a booze em up readathon. And my most played game is Warframe with over 3,000 hours on steam alone, i spend more times playing mechanic or engineering games, if not, all the war. And the only reason I stopped is because it was over 10 hours straight with getting food, and or, water to break it up so it is not a pure 10 hour streak. The .2 hours is the time I was AFK, or AFG (away from game).

My only complaint is, there's no demo for it.

Whiskey on the rocks and a cigar/10, would booze em up again.
