The game is literally titled "SQUAD", and yet it is a herculean task to find people willing to play as a squad.
Zero communication, ever. No wonder people still play Project Reality, the game Squad is based on, It's a free standalone mod and people actually communicate there.

Also, the game is on UE5 now, which means that if you struggled to run the game before, then good luck running it now. And if you can still run it, have fun with built-in TAA that you can't disable.

TL;DR: ONLY buy this game ON SALE (2.49€/$), and ONLY if you’ve already played BF1. If you haven’t, just get BF1 instead. If you have, BFV is worth trying at that price.

We all know this game’s issues, and these still apply. Here's a QRD:
- 4-man squads (worse than BF1/BF4’s 5);
- Breakthrough is a downgrade from BF1’s Operations;
- Historical inaccuracies (especially customization/campaign choices);
- Live service = lack of content. Thanks corporate greed!;
- EA anti-cheat means you can't play on Linux;
- No Eastern Front;
- Cheaters on official servers EVERYWHERE;
- Forced TAA makes the game blurry. Disabling it through console commands breaks the lighting and causes flickering.

That said, when it’s cheap, it’s still worth a shot. Mechanically, it’s very good.
It's got smooth movement and satisfying gunplay. Most weapons feel great, especially the more quirky/unique ones.
Also, the classes feel well-balanced:
- Medic dominates close–mid range with infinite heals, but struggles vs vehicles;
- Assault is the best all-rounder (infantry + anti-vehicle, excels at both at the same time);
- Support has infinite ammo and strong suppression, but usually loses to good Assault and Recon players;
- Recon excels at long range, gets spawn beacons, and spotting.

Maps are generally well-designed, and the game is gorgeous. Fortifications and squad call-ins were nice ideas, even if limited. Kudos for the dev team for trying, at least.

This game's story is sad. A strong foundation, only to get abandoned right as it got really promising. With more content (especially Eastern Front), it could’ve been much more. As it stands, it’s a good game, but with so much wasted potential, and it's all EA's fault.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. It has it's issues, sure, but it's amazing. The campaign feels like it was finely crafted by a team of artisans. And you have ample reason to play it 3 times over, ie NG+ exclusive endings, weapons and parts.
That's all I have to say. Play it for yourself.
That's not a suggestion. Do it now. Pull your wallet out for the Japanese Freemason, goy..

terrible game to start your day with
i main soviet tech tree at the time of writing and the fun stopped for me after 4.0 (t34e stz and t34 1942)
german bias is absolutely real from 4.3 onwards
i thought maybe top tier would be more fun so i sunk 40eur into an event vehicle, the t80um2
apparently thats even worse because because the high repair costs make the gameplay a lot more stressful and a lot more rage enducing, ESPECIALLY when you get killed by some mouthbreather with a german premium leopard 2 from across the map or some hohol meatrider with a ukrainian flag on his tank camped up in the most moronic place ever

ultimately the game suffers from the main money making mechanic for gaijin - repair costs, which make the game infinitely less fun and add a layer of stress
please gaijin just add a mode where you can play against others for no reward, you did that in crossout with bedlam (kinda)

Every time I get off of a Barotrauma sesh with my boys I start FIENDING to play this ♥♥♥♥ again I love this game so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much this ♥♥♥♥ got me having LOTION on my ♥♥♥♥ like I am STROKING my ♥♥♥♥
