Absolutely love Project Zomboid.

What sets this game apart are the finer details—the little things that make the world feel gritty, real, and terrifying. Every broken window, every bandage, every can of beans matters. It’s not just a game; it’s a genuine survival experience.

Multiplayer co-op is where it truly shines for me. Experiencing the apocalypse with a close friend or loved one adds an emotional weight that’s hard to describe. Every shared moment feels earned—every escape, every loss, every laugh around a makeshift campfire.

Singleplayer is equally incredible, especially with mods. You can tailor the experience exactly how you want, pushing yourself to survive just one more day in a world that’s trying its best to kill you. The sandbox potential is massive.

Hands down, this is the closest you’ll ever get to a true zombie apocalypse simulator. It’s brutal. It’s rewarding. It’s unforgettable. Its not will you die? Its when will you die?

Looking for games to play with my girlfriend, this come across my list. She is a beginner gamer and was able to pick up on the controls of this game fairly quickly (though she had a hard time with the jump hooks) xD

Graphics looked amazing, and you constantly feel immersed in the different worlds. I mean you are a tiny wooden dolls after all, so the world feels huge and vast!

The game mechanics are basic in the beginning. The further along you progress in the game, more things were added to the mechanics. Then you would combine one mechanic with another. Each chapter would also introduce a specific mechanic to it in which you would have to figure a few of the puzzles out. There were so many different aspects that It Takes Two will keep you engaged through the entirety of the game.

I believe beginner gamers can pick this title up and learn to be a more proficient gamer (as far as controller dexterity). Eventually throughout your playthrough, you master the mechanics and the game runs more fluently.

Amazing story, though some of it feels cut short. The thrill of the adventure and getting to the finish line makes this game enjoyable!

I rated this as a "average" game in relevance of a full time working couples work schedule. We tried to sit aside 1 1/2 to 2 hours of gaming on It Takes Two atleast once a week. The last week of playing, we played around 2-3 times. We completed the game around 14 hours. It felt like it took us quite a bit to beat this game. Each section of a chapter felt like it took 1 to 2 hours to complete. If you both are avid gamers, it may take you a week to beat it. But we prefer to take our time with our games and enjoy it.

I think $40 is ok for the game, however I also look at replay-ability. I don't ever see us playing the game again. We played a few rounds of each mini-game during the story line so its not something we see jumping back on to do. With this; I believe buying it on sell is the best route to go.

There was maybe one noticeable bug while playing that stopped our gameplay. It was not to memorable, but I believe it had to do with a coop action not showing up correctly the first time. A restart of the game seemed to fix it. Out of the many hours of gameplay, with that being the only issue its made really solid.

We rate this game 10/10 due to coop games being hard to come by now-a-days.. and with the great deal of one person owning the game for both to play is phenomenal. If you are looking to play a game with your girlfriend/spouse that has a story line, and creative game mechanics, then this is for you (both of you)
