i really want to like this game... i do

few things stopping me from liking it:
one: the lack of any meaningful additions from tsw3->tsw4. i simply dont see the reason for this to be a new game? i understand the 3 routes for the price of (a bit more than) 1 is a great deal, and the routes are decent IMO. the deluxe edition br 193 and flying scotsman are by far my favourite. i would've much preferred a rush hour launch like they did with TSW2 in 2021.
releasing a new game simply paywalls what should be free updates, let alone the new DLC, which are also still overpriced.

two: the performance. the graphical changes from tsw1->4 are really not that noticeable, minus the lighting engine change. but to cause the requirements to be so much higher than tsw1 and 2? something just doesnt seem right.

oh and also the driving assist is stupid for the scotsman, tells you to bring cutoff back when the safeties are blowing... just give us an option to turn them off please

if there was a neutral option for steam reviews, this would be neutral. i like the content, but dont see the need for ANOTHER installment in tsw series, especially so soon after tsw3. it feels like the same game, probably because it is. due to DTG potentially turning this into a habit, im going to review it negatively to hopefully show them that this behaviour is unacceptable.

oh and not to mention the buggy mess the game is on release with a load of services being deadlocked, trains not behaving as they should, silent AWS alarms and 1000Hz PZB signs not showing up when acknowledged... yeah, this needed more time to cook in the oven...
