I adore mole rats. Not in a normal way. Not in a “oh that’s a neat animal” way. I mean I see one of those wrinkly little dirt sausages waddle out of the ground and suddenly my entire day improves. I love their ridiculous rodent faces. I love their oversized teeth. I love the weird little snorting noises they make as they bulldoze through life without a single concern for dignity. I love that they look like they were assembled from spare parts and somehow still function perfectly. 💛
