Best atmosphere and visual style in an FPS i've seen in a long time.
Difficult to play casually due to it being an extraction shooter, but the game gives out plenty of free
loadouts, and on a good day you can jump a geared player and ♥♥♥♥ on em even with basic items.

Take your time, soak up the vibes, don't sweat too hard, and you'll have a good time.

Absolute cinENA.

not the most deep game, but honestly kind of perfect. it's earned its copycats and "-like" status

A widely misunderstood game. Perhaps not for everyone.
A master class in atmosphere, especially when the E3 graphics are re-enabled through mods.
The main character may seem bland at first, but has plenty of complexity if you look deeper.
Gameplay is very solid. I recommend a "loud and reckless" playstyle. Stealth is easy, but taking a harder, more ballsy approach is more stimulating and leads to some very cool moments.
Some didn't like the story, but I think it has aged well. At it's core, it's a story of rage, motivation, and revenge. Not dissimilar to the John Wick franchise, which curiously came out around the same time.
Play it, see if you like it. If it clicks, stick with it. If not, you know what to do.

It's Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament, Tribes, and a sprinkle of Halo 1 all in one package. A sadly underappreciated masterpeice.

It's what No Man's Sky pretended to be.

In my opinion, this is hands down the best free to play game ever made, and one of the best games of all time.
