After pretty much completing the story and all achievements besides the last piece we are going to get on full release, I can say confidently that Below zero is a good game. But I dont think its so good that its better than the first one. The cut content is really felt in this one. Alot of people complained about the voice acting but i thought it was a nice touch. But I dont think it should have been so much of the focus that other content suffered for it.
With a smaller underwater world the biomes dont feel as good as they did in the first iteration at least to me. there were also not to many places that were deep deep (900m+) which was kind of sad to see. The biomes more or less just all blended together in feel in BZ. While in the original each biome you came across felt unique and made you want to explore it further to see what else was there.
I would give it a star raiting but as the full ending hasnt been released yet it just wouldnt feel right to fully rate it yet. But I would say its still worth a buy at its current stage even at full price. These devs clearly work hard on their games and it shows in both iterations They deserve the support to continue marking great games like these. Maybe the next one we can finally get a co-op mode & story!

After completing the game/getting all achievements I couldnt help but feel a little underwhelmed. But I suppose that could just be from it being hard to live up to the original. Will be interesting to see how/if they continue the story from were below zero left off in the future for sure.

Just beat the game again years later (almost 100%) and I have to say without a doubt this is one of the best single player stories in gaming history. Arthur Morgan will forever go down for me a (one of) the best video game characters ever created. He might not have been as strong or epic as Master Chief, or as heroic as Marcus Fenix but he is one of the most humanized character ive ever seen in gaming. The struggle between right and wrong while trying to make amends with the world hes done nothing but take and hurt. This isnt just a game its a master class in story telling and doing justice to the fans of the series. Its an absolute tragedy that rockstar let RDR2 take a backseat to GTA5. This game deserved the best rockstar could give it and it just ended up collecting dust on their shelves.
TLDR If you havent played this game yet you are doing a disservice to yourself as a gamer. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a masterpiece in gaming history.

Best Milsim out there. No clunky controls and crap shooting like ARMA III. AMAZING SOUND EFFECTS. Have never herd a game with such realism and details when it comes to the SFX. Prox chat in warehouses cause your voice to audibly echo inside for everyone to here. Mortars being dropped on your building will stress you out, on top of being deaf and confused. The detail in the sound alone is simply beautiful.

Overall with it still being a early access alpha id have to give it an 8/10 until it comes out finished and polished

Audio in this game is complete dog water by modern standards. It amazes me its still this bad all these years later. Half my deaths in buildings are from it sounding like the guy is on the second level when really they are on the same level as me and end up shooting me in the back. Garbage game

Great game but DO NOT buy the remastered version of the original. Crashes way to much. Im about 70% threw the story for my first time on the remaster and just uninstalled the game because i forgot to quick save before a big boss fight. I reloaded the game and game back only to see it autosaved at the start of the level and never again threw my entire 40 mins on the level. Thus forcing me to restart a entire level. This isnt the first time and it continues to happen. Not worth anyones money regardless of the graphics. The stabability ruins the great gameplay the game has.
