I waited a long time to purchase this game. I really wanted to like it, but I spent more time fighting the god awful controls and clunky camera than fighting nature and the elements. The graphics and sound are nice, but the controls were so frustrating and the more I played it, the more I realised just how bad they are.

I eventually decided I was getting no enjoyment and my frustration came to a peak when I tried to attack a wolf with one hit left and instead hit a (somewhat) nearby tree. The wolf finished me off instead and i lost everything. I requested a refund shortly after that.

The hunting system is also a total joke. A repetitive cycle of craft throwing rocks. Equip them to one of your quick slots. Run after an animal. Press the quick change button. Throw a rock at the animal. Swap weapon. Hit animal once. Let it run off screen. Repeat until it dies or until you accidentally aggro a wolf. who is a much better target given that it will follow you instead of running away from you.

If you want a fun co-op survival game try the recently released game 'The Forest' instead, avoid this steaming pile of garbage.

Easily one of the best games I have ever played and great fun with a mate. Its exactly the RPG I was looking for and the interactions between elements and the freedom you have in the game is just incredible. Cannot wait to play the second game.
