I can only wish there was more to this game. There's a few mechanics that simply don't get enough spotlight in this game. Leaning, full prone, an actual use for so many batteries lying around, a need to use the CAT shock for more than just the power boxes, and tippy toeing don't get used enough throughout the game to feel memorable or intuitive. I just wish more of the puzzles involved having to use these mechanics that feel pushed to the side. I also don't see a reason to have no manual flashlight and for it to only turn on in vents? it makes no sense. Just remove the automatic flashlight and make the CAT flashlight basekit tbh. And lastly just a cool idea to help the game feel more immersive would be to make the player have to manually eject and place the new battery instead of having it auto load. With how complicated the CAT feels, autoloading the battery just broke the immersion>

Other than that this game is damn near perfect. The Puzzles are great and the setting is pretty scary, and for how much I hate jumpscares cuz they feel cheap, the ones here felt pretty damn good because they aren't forced nor expected.

As hard as it is to give this game a thumbs up, I don't think its as bad as people say. Yes, the puzzles are a bit rough around the edges. Yes, the story falls off track a bit near the end. Yes, it unfortunately has a few bugs like most new games. BUT, the game has a good vision and the devs seem dedicated to fixing the game based on feedback. I wouldn't consider the game slop but they clearly had a rough start for it being their first game as an indie team. On top of that, I think peoples view of the game is skewed because the demo didn't show many signs of this being a puzzle heavy horror game and so what they're playing now doesn't match what they felt in the demo and so people are mad over the difference in gameplay (Which I would argue is the devs fault for not making the demo a better portrayal of the whole game). It's hard to see these indi devs make something with so much hype, and end up with something that felt so different from the demo.
