I've played this game off and on for years, and whenever I come back to it I get that new game thrill in a big way. It manages the Roguelike elements in ways that aren't stale or boring, and the time vs difficulty escalation meter helps give you the sense of control over your environment that you might not otherwise see.

I admit, there are times where it's "git gud" tough.. but it's also very rewarding. And this is FANTASTIC with multiplayer.

The Room Two continues from where The Room left off; what began as a fantastic puzzle to pass the time on my phone became an instant buy when I found it on Steam. Beautiful visuals, diabolical design, and an unparalled attention to detail has kept these developers at the forefront of my horizon, and this addition to their work does nothing to change that.

Still, as ever, there are more questions than answers after finishing the game.. but it has worked, and with them will continue to work, to keep me coming back.. to explore, to tease my puzzle-solving skills, and to make me wonder at the worlds they've created in such a small space.

Remember Galaga? Ever wish they'd develop a little, creativity, in their swarming? Looked at what Google "dreams" about when we're not looking? Considered mixing the two?

That's what you get here. Your space-blasting action, mixing bright colors and some reverb-inducing slo-mo, joins with some more creative (and enjoyable callback) designs many of us already know and enjoy.

Controls are decent, with Xbox 360 controller support right off the bat, and a variety of screen sizes to choose from. The loader UI is a little sparse, and the control mapping option could be a little clearer, but for an Early Access game it's well on it's way to being worth some of your time.

The game itself is great- I miss playing this fantastic piece of software regularly.

However, Ubisoft has made playing it simply impossible; every load kicks back to desktop.

I bought in when this game was in it's early stages, and I thought it was great fun then (I really needed a Diablo fix, but I couldn't get Diablo 3 to work on my computer)

It's only gotten better since, with bug fixes, a BIG increase in resolution, tons of additions to classes, items, and enemies (both in type and AI- yes, they've improved the enemy AI, too!)

If you're looking to sink hours into turning foes into gobs, and don't need super-detailed sprites, give it a whirl
