In my opinion, VII is the perfect game. The characters, story, locations, and music will never be matched in my lifetime by any other piece of art. The turn-based combat is simple but exciting, the materia system will always be my favorite FF feature, the graphics, while primitive compared to the current lot, were incredible for the time, and hold such a charm that trademarks the game itself. The story made me cry as a 4-year-old, and ever since. Nothing brings me more nostalgia than hearing any section of the legendary soundtrack or even the gloriously satisfying sound effects from the menus.
