The game is just war thunder air rb ported to vr (with multiple spawns), with basic vr controls, but they feel really laggy and junky compared to other vr games like vtol vr. The air rb gamemode also isnt fitting for the game in my opinion

The game is missing any basic kind of tutorial, except for a pamphlet which tells you that you gain more speed by losing altitude and other basics like that, which is worthless.

the game has an awful freeze/crash issue which is very common (look at reddit or steam discussions), but nothing gets done about it since at least early may 2025. I get crashed from every other 10v10 game with "graphic error: changemode failure (640x480): error on create dx11 device". I have 4060ti and 12600k, 32 gb ram 1440p pc and it should be working fine. Tried updating drivers but that did not help either. This is the only game where I have this issue.

Ive played through all 5 missions.

I really enjoyed my time in the game, mostly because of the level design and the art direction. Combat is really nice for a indie game, i liked stealth and normal pvp as well.

All 5 missions are really nice, all of them felt unique, belgrad is probably my favourite, it has a bit different vibe and save system is disabled (it works really well there). My only problem with missions was weird completion trigger in belgrad, not sure if it was intended? i unlucked 5th mission by just jumping around pretty much, didnt feel like i got anything done there when it unlocked.

elevators, edge grabbing, walking on catwalks and pipes works really well.

I didnt really use energy/ augments much except for nvg in first and 2nd mission. All weapons ive used felt nice, melee especially. inventory works nice as well and doesnt feel like a chore.

I hope that next missions that will come will also keep up to the level of the initial 5.

Good things about the game:
  • They really try to make the stealth harder and more complex. In PD2 there was often a minimal change in difficulty of stealth missions between normal and harder difficulties. PD3 changes that by adding more mechanics on harder difficulties, like pagers being called on dead bodies every now and then on overkill difficulty, which forces the player to leave guards alive. There is also more actions you can do on stealth missions before you put on the mask, like pickpocket keycards and open doors with them. Basically anything short of offensive actions

  • New skill system which revolves around genereting stacks and maintaining them seems fresh, but I didnt have enough time to look further into it yet.

What is wrong with the game:
  • Matchmaking into a raid can take a stupid amount of time. Its worse than tarkov, and a few times I had to wait more than 10 minutes (you have to matchmake even if you play solo)

  • No lobby permanency, meaning that when you join a random lobby with people you had fun with, well then thats too bad cause the lobby always closes after the heist is finished. This means you have to do trial and error with joining lobbies for every heist you wanna play until you find normal people, and its just a waste of everyones time.

  • There is no chat in a multiplayer lobby before the game starts. There is 0 good reasons for it, as it just limits communication between players

  • You cannot mark the multiplayer lobby as either stealth or loud as you could in pd2. This again is such a waste of time because you dont know what the rest of randoms want to do until you load into the game (theres no way to communicate with players before that as I said in the point above), so if the lobby wants to do stealth, you leave and start the entire queuing process again

  • No one is the host of the multiplayer lobby, so no one has the ability to kick the players that do not ready up and make others wait 5 min (default lobby start time if someone doesnt ready up)

The above reasons make the game really unfriendly for players without premade teammates. This was not the case in PD2, where playing with randoms has always seemed really simple and intuitive.


I wrote this review during 20min queue in the matchmaking (i am still waiting btw)

Some other problems/nitpicks are:
  • Relatively bad optimization, I think upscaling is a must for a mid pc if you want decent FPS
  • To play you need an account on overkills platform for whatever reason? Theres no benefits to the player from this
  • UI and menus seem worse than those from PD2

uhh could we get some changes in air rb so its not a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamemode
also please remove rp cap in games and give back the old victory cash multiplier, cause right now i am being punished for playing well

firefight 5v5 gamemode has been removed
coop is too easy to the point where you cannot lose
gamemodes other than firefight are just bad

Wciągająca fabuła i niewiarygodnie ciekawe postacie. Szkoda że księżyc nie dostał więcej screen tajmu. Proszę o lepszą korektę tekstu w następnej grze.
