They shimmer in the dark before blinking out
Like stars at the final twilight this universe will ever see
My mourning goes far deeper than my bones

I feel like I am always bleeding
A discarded body, a shell for an injury.
My lurching gait begat misery spurred on too often
My screams echo silently, ringing forever in my eyes
Pay no mind to me, I am on my way to the grave
A cold place where I can breathe out vapor in the dark

My veins pump blood through a shackled body
Chained to a wall where I can only watch everything unravel
My soul borrows up all the pain in the world
Grabbing at all the sadness that ever was
The pieces are sharp and cut into me
Smothering the absence inside me, until there's too much with
