Yo. Random thing here. In M&B2, if you play in a purely SP fashion, you can turn on an "auto" for the block direction. That way you can focus on the swing direction and get used to at least the right timings for blocks. Also, there is a lock on function that is very useful for 1v1s. These two things saved that game for me. Made combat fun for me again, once I got used to the swinging thing.
