If you are into tower defense and base building this game brings plenty of value.
Plus since I have purchased the game they released v2.0 for free.

0-50 was not agonizing, world events are fun.

New World is a game with so much potential and its getting completely trashed by the development team. Patch by patch they have removed everything I like about the game. Just go read the official New World forums for a proper idea of what you might be getting into. Instead of focusing on things like anti cheats, lag, bugs and merging low population servers they are updating working systems to make the grind longer.

A big community response was that the game lacks end game content. So instead of producing end game content they are just making the grind to end game significantly longer. If you did not max your skills in the first few weeks of the games release you might as well not even consider catching up.
