This game REALLY puts into perspective all the things Pokemon could have been doing to improve its franchise. I love how they managed to translate that factor of "getting to know the enemy" from the main MH games here, Getting to know their behaviors really pays up in the battles, and you have to know your own monsties too since you don't directly control them most of the time, wich is a nice change from normal games like this, you can train the beast, but it wont do exactly what you want all the time, so you really have to know how they behave to properly use them in combat, making them feel more alive and complex than your regular pokemon.
