This game is beyond peak. Easily the 2nd best extraction shooter on the market currently next to Tarkov. As an extraction fan and 10000hr destiny player I am okay with destiny dying for this.

It has an incredibly amount of depth with the factions and build potential. Loot feels exciting and the gold items are very rare and feel special when you find them. The art and music are also amazing.

My only complaints are that the game is in desperate need of duo queue and that free kits should not exist when Rook does.

Do yourselves a favour and pick this up, put in the time to learn it. Don’t listen to the haters on twitter and YouTube. This is something special. I haven’t enjoyed a shooter like this in years.

Was willing to give the game a fair shot but 3v3 on maps this big is a deal breaker imo. this should be 5v5 at least.

The maps feel empty. If the devs insisted on 3v3 then there should've been PvE elements to fill out the maps

Arguably the best game in the franchise. I've been having a blast. Runs great on my system as well. Maxed settings 4K nets me 130-160fps with DLSS on my 4090 and have not had a single crash in over 30hours of play. Definitely worth picking up. Don't listen to the haters

completely free update with some nice improvements if you know where to look. Perfect time to do a playthrough before GTA VI

Game is mid at best. Performance is the same dog water that it was in Beta. I shouldn't have to nuke my mouse polling rate to avoid a microstuttery mess. Gameplay itself isn't particularly fun. The gunplay is super bland and abiliities are almost unneeded since you can just hold down left click for the most part. The writing an voice acting are also hard to listen to at times.

It's sad to see that this wasnt improved from the beta I played back in 2022

Absolute crazy rug pull months after release after PC players bought this game on a lie. Sony need to revert the decision to require PSN accounts asap. I was about to repurchase the game but not after this. Everyone should push for refunds.

Fantastic looter shooter with souls-like style combat. Bungie could definitely learn a thing or two with this game to make destiny better

Loading screen simulator 2023. This game is painfully average but has its moments at times

I've loved Destiny since it came to PC back in 2017. Some of my best memories in gaming can be attributed to this game. I however cannot recommend this game in good conscious. Several years of very poor game design decisions have led bungie down a horrible path putting it in the worst state since vanilla D2.

Bungie has consistently catered to casuals that play the game for 1hr a week (if that) because they are the vocal majority unfortunately. Due to this, any time the game gets challenging things get immediately nerfed. Day 1 raids which used to be an achievement are like sub 2 hour events just so that bungie can make more money selling raid jackets and off twitch rivals viewership.

Loot is now meaningless. Crafting was introduced in witch queen and is one of the worst things bungie has done to the game. There is no loot pursuit anymore. Instead you login for 30mins a week, get your guaranteed red border, and log off until you hit 5/5. Did you get some loot along the way? Just shard it because you'll just craft it later.

Despite all the glaring problems and community unrest, Bungie will not acknowledge the issues. Instead they try to sell merch for the latest social issue they want to parrot while pretending the game is fine.

In catering to the casual base to an overwhelming degree, Bungie have forgotten who their core base is. Lightfall and the last two seasons have seen almost my entire friends list (mostly the hardcore crown consisting of Top 100 raid teams) quit the game entirely.

The only way things will get better is if we all stop playing. I was once VERY vocal and passionate about the issues facing the game over the years. Now I am at a place of apathy...I just dont care.

I hope the recent outcry from the community is a wake up call for bungie. I want the game to return to it's former self but I am doubtful that will ever happen again. Until then I recommend everyone else spend their time and money on other games.

STAY AWAY FROM DESTINY 2

I really wish I could recommend this with how much I enjoyed fallen order. Unfortunately I booted up the game to do a performance analysis and to my surprise witnessed my 4090 spit out around 40fps @ 4K with drops into the 20s and 30s.

This is a crying shame for how fun the game is and all the improvements on offer in this sequel.

Steer clear until respawn and EA fix this mess. This game should’ve been delayed until at least June or July.
