The biggest reason this is awesome, is that it can be ANYTHING you want it to be. Between the workshop and the ability to even make your own games, there are virtually limitless possibilities for entertainment for you and however many friends can fit in any game.

Also the community is VERY friendly, generally speaking. Lots of public lobbies with some great folks in them, many of which will even help you learn a game if you’re new to it. Not all lobbies are like this, but a large portion of them in my experience.

Overall this is an incredible platform on which to have hours upon hours of fun!

This is easily the best $30 I've spent since Factorio. So much value for the price. I'm 86.3 hours in at the time of writing but I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. The base game is enough to keep you busy for hours, and the modding community is enough to make the possibilities practically endless.

12/10, would make hats out of people again

There is so much to do in this game that at close to 100 hours I feel like I've still barely scratched the surface...and it's all actually INTERESTING. There's just about never a dull moment without something going on somewhere.

I did NOT expect to enjoy this game as much as I did...it's not in my usual wheelhouse, but I have had a total blast. It's very adorable and relaxing to play but still has a ton of fun exploration and discoveries to make. I look forward to future updates and many more hours of fun!

Now that it's out of early access, I'm going to have to update my review from back in 2016...it's now 2019 and this game has had some SERIOUS progress made, and I've been having a blast with it like I always wished I could before. Very nicely done Keen, impressive turnaround.

It can be quite the head-scratcher, trying to shove as many trains down your tracks as you possibly can. Quite entertaining, especially if you like puzzles!

I love the simulator itself, it's provided me with a decent amount of fun. However, when a DLC that is normally $40 goes on a Steam sale and Dovetail RAISES THE PRICE to counteract the sale...that is crap. So even though I enjoy this game, I would not recommend it purely based on the shady pricing games that Dovetail is playing.

Simply an amazing game. I have hundreds of hours played on it before the Steam release, and I'm still planning on hundreds more. The addiction is unreal. You'll be seeing conveyor belts in your dreams. There is always something you could be doing better, some tweak you could make to be the tiniest bit more efficient. It is simply incredible how much content this game provides, along with a ton of replay value, especially considering the very active modding community.

10/10 would sell my soul again.
