great game.

roleplay as a alcoholic drug addicted cop on the edge of mental breakdown.

gameplay is like a point and click visual novel with tabletop rpg mechanics and a top down prespective.

runs decent on the steam deck. but its a high power draw game the deck will be running on the hotter side. locking at 40fps and messing with the settings you can get it down to like 10-14w of power draw and like 2-3 hours of play time. visuals are okay there tends to be alot of flickering lines on far away objects in the backgound.

the gameplay is fun if you like cover shooters.
it has a good looking map.
players are pretty friendly in pve
great game for min maxxers or people that wanna spend time making builds
good end game

there is still a decent ammount of players but not enough for matchmaking to work. you will need friends to really get the most out of the game. or follow a solo build guide. matchmaking system is like a 2/10.

lack of a add friend button in game

enemies are super spongy.

cant resume a reload mid way so if you do anything it will cancel the reload it you have to start from the beggining of the reload every time

difficulty is either pitifuly easy or impossibly hard.

just a ton of junk loot constantly dropping. having to spend 30 min after every few missions to delete junk. your gonna delete 90% of teh stuff you pick up cuz its useless

the ui and menus are just way too confusing. theres just a ton of nonsense and repetitive tabs you have to learn how to use and navigate.

objectives, locations, mission for projects/manhunts/ ect are super vauge and poorly worded and aren't ever marked on the map when tracked causing alot of confusion and compleatly hinders progression if you dont wanna look up how to do everything online

you're gonna get hit with a barrage of spend money please popups when you start

the lighting in the game needs alot of improvments. lights sources get so bright you are you constantlly blinded, half the time your just shooting blindly at ping markers in the distance because you cannot see anything.

audio balance is terrible. Shooting your gun is so much louder than all the other audio in the game. The audio adjustments are awful. Since all the in game audio is tied to the SFX slider when you turn the slider down so the gunshots become quiet it causes all the other ambient sounds in the game to become muted. and then the only thing you hear is the gunshots and nothing else.

id recomend the game but being that its a always online game in the end its gonna be a waste of time and money when the servers shut down and the game becomes unplayable.

You pretty much have to buy the highest tier edition of you will be locked out of alot of activities
everything is like designed to try and get money from you

they give you a good amount of cometic loot boxes but they drop an insane amount of duplicate clothing items. kinda sucks when all the exotic pulls end up being the same item

Nexon is a greedy, evil, and soulless company. You shouldnt play any of there games.

i havent been able to get this game to work. it always crashes. havent checked if theres any mods to fix it. but it basicaly unplayable in the vanilla state on modern hardware

MGS3 is a awesome game but its not worth 80$ or 50$ for the 3-10 hours it takes to beat the story. the majority of the playtime in this game is watching 6+ hours of cutscenes. while actual gameplay is about 3-5 hours.

i have not played any of the MGO so my review is based off singleplayer only for the moment.

Unfortunatly it still has that ps2 tank control jank from the original and theres a few bugs in the game. graphicaly its impressive and it runs decent most of the time. but it doesn't really seems to improve the game that much other than Audio/visual and some QOL stuff.

i ran the game on a 8gb 3060ti at 1440p which was pretty much maxed out at 95% usage on balanced setting (3080 is listed as the reccomended card for this setting) usually the game ran around high 50's fluctuating between 40-60 fps.

it still played fine and looked good i have had the game crash on me 3 times. The game does have some bad stutters and fps dips into the 10-30fps range this gets worse during longer play sessions the fps drop and stuttering get more frequent and intense untill it eventualy freezes on a fatal error screen. and you have to force close the game

the bad:
lack of FOV slider. limited graphical adjustments. really high GPU requirements.

limited to a total of 31 save slots.

the caution/alert phase will follow you into new areas. however reloading the autosave removes the alert status

if you knock a locker door off the hinges they will fall backwards inside the locker preventing you from picking up any items inside

Enemy ai is dumb and makes the aim bot & xray vision super apparent. they can see you and alert thru solid walls and objects. the ai can detect the noise of walking/CQC thru walls. when alerted the ai just dump mags into the wall your behind or if you crawl into a underground tunnel they will path on top of you and shoot straight down into the ground.

alt+tab will break some in game menus like the up dpad to quickswap camo. it cancause the game button inputs to glitch out. sometimes it won't register button inputs or the game gets stuck holding an input.

issues with snake not snapping into cover behind objects and walls

while using the disguise there are emotes tied to the a/x button so if try to vault over an object, or open a door, ect. you will instead stand still and push your glasses up the bridge of you nose or salute instead of interacting with the enviorment.

the CQC slam being disabled while you are disguised/naked snake makes no sense other than to artificialy inflate the difficulty

sometimes the game performance will tank for a few seconds. the fps will drop to like 10-20fps and start stuttering heavily, usually when changing between areas. theres the occasional dip and stutter during cutscenes as well they weren't werent as severe or often as the ones happening during gameplay . (3060ti. 1440p. balanced settings)

really bad fps drop >10fps, stuttering, and the game got hung up and froze on a fatal error screen during the shagahod fight. pretty bad fps drop during the final boss fight as well. closing and re-opening the game seemed to help

Great steam deck game.

its a very simple game but really fun and chill vibes. modern take on jet set radio.

great music

it can be alot more fun with mods.
lots of character mods, tweak the movement, add custom music. ect.
there are mutiplayer mods as well

the bad:
the game is really short. the story is like 10 hours.

lacks voice acting.

lack of trick variation.

maps can feel really maze like. its easy to get lost and it can be time consuming to navigate.

changing movestyle can only be done in hideout. there are mods that can fix this

40$ is way too expensive. i wouldnt wanna pay more than like 10-15$ for this game

its a fun game with friends. i wouldn't recomend it at full price. this is like a $0.99 play it once slop game as is. maybe if the fix some of the bugs/glitches with the game and physics system. i could reccomend it. but as is its a pretty slop game. and your pretty much fighting the wonky physics system the entire time and while funny at times its a pretty big hinderance to playing the game

Nexon is scummy company that owns embark studios. the game is alot of fun but nexon is a bad company and you shouldn't give them your money. it seems really deceptive that there is no mention of the fact nexon are owners and publishers of arc raiders

Solo matchmaking is more PvE focused experiance. Players are more likely to co-op. this is the best way to play the game.

squad matchmaking is the anti-pve mode. extremely heavy PvP focused. (basicaly a 3rd person apex legends. everyone in squads has that pack mentality and just wants to mindlessly kill each other and nobody wants to co-op).

really fun game if you suck at pvp and wanna feel like a god shooting people in the back or killing people that have no desire to pvp.

THE BAD:

some doors wont open when you interact with them

the lighting is pretty bad. everything is just insanely bright. opening doors is like turning your screen into a flashbang. fog glows so bright underground that it looks like the sun is shining thru the ceiling and fog clipping thru corners of rooms so it looks like rays of sunlight. the bloom effect is way to high and cant be turned off.

theres a perfectly clear 15 foot sphere around you character so you can see all the fog de-render infront of you while your walking around on cold snap. its like impossible to see on the cold snap with the overly bright lighting. there no nightime cold snap.

not enough quests. the quests in the game and teh quests being added are very shallow and feel pointless. all the infomation they give you is super vuage, go somewhere near this location, find somekind of object, interact with it, run across the map, interact with a object, repeat. and they reward you with mostly junk loot.

the events modes are pretty boring braindead low effort slop. you can sum up most of the event modes as the time of day/ weather has changed. we turned up the plant spawn! or go push 4 buttons to open a door so you can go inside a room and push a bunch more buttons for seemingly no reason.

another game designed to just leach money out the consumer. Micro-transactions & Overpriced skins. even after a price reduction it still sucks.

Heavily restricted character customization. all the customization is just an on/off toggle

awful "Deck" rewards (same as Helldivers2 Warbonds). nobody wants craftable in game items like ziplines and gernades as rewards. theres liek 3 cool items in the deck. the rest are pretty slop and to get the 150 coins at the end you have to unlock all the other garbage items you dont even want. oh and doint forget about the paid premium decks there planning on releasing soon.

They have implimented a "cred limit" since there was so only one deck avalible. so now people have a crazy surplus of creds and teh developers decided to prevent them from instantly compleating new decks they have now limited how many you can have.

Lack of a reset skill tree option for casual players. skills being nerfed.

trials is full of people exploiting. i really doubt people are getting a legit 30,000 trials points for killing wasps in a single raid. Theres just no point in playing it cuz it just becomes a absurd time sink after a point and its just designed to make you to play all day everyday
