fun game.
nice variety of gameplay: combat, logistics, farming, construction, trains, factories, bunkers, medical, naval, Air force, tanks, artillary, tons of different ways to play and mechanics to learn.
to get the best/fullest experiance usually involves enlisting with a regiment/clan.
its still fun solo but it may be a more restricted experiance

Perfect game for steam deck.
Stable performance. high settings locked at 40fps, good battery life (+/- 4 hours)

story is on the shorter side. 20ish hours.
new game +
2 main playable characters.
variety of optional recruitable characters.
you're encouraged to play the game multiple times to get the full experience.
lots of QOL improvements.

fun anime themed dark souls style game.
worth buying on sale.
multiplayer co-op.

my main complaints:
the levels start feeling a bit bland/generic, the structure is too maze like and repetitive and can be annoying to navigate cuz your constantly constantly getting lost or running in circles.

the weapons dont really feel unique. just the same sword or rifle with a slight visual and move set variation. combat not terrible but it feels pretty shallow.

the mini map / path tracing is nice and can be helpful but also is equaly confusing like any game that uses a simple a 2d map for a game with alot of vertical/overlapping structure

cool game and concept. but its a little too brutal with the heavily restricted movement, lack of healing, and un-avoidable/in-escapable random encounters. the game feels like the main focus is forcing the player to reload the last save data over and over again and repeat each section until they can get thru an area without getting hit and without using any healing items.

While the combat system is unique and fun its a little too faithful to the janky ps1 era. when you break it down the combat is slowly jogging in circles to avoid enemy attacks while the ATC gauge charges. run in circles, attack. run in circles, use a skill. repeat.

Fighting more than 1 enemy or fighting in a tight corridor is awful. you cannot out maneuver multiple enemies besides running in circles in a large open area. its super easy to just burn thru your HP and heals cuz you got stun locked due to your slow restricted movement or the enemies staggering you thru your attacks.

in my opinion some things that could help improve the combat and movement would be:

1. A way to regen hp and heal yourself. (The healing items are so weak and scarce that once you use up the limited supply you have to reload the last save and try again until you do an area perfectly.)

2: the lack of heals would be fine if there some kind of stamina & dodge roll, increased poise, or a parry mechanic, anything to help avoid taking damage, escape getting stun locked by enemies, or avoid to tank hits when you try to attack. running in slow circles is not enough depth to the combat

3: change the final fantasy 7/8/9 style random encounter system so you can see actually see where the encounters are, that way you plan accordingly to avoid the combat, heal, or even the ability to run away from combat. instead of the screen randomly flashing and getting attacked in a empty room by a invisible enemy that you cannot escape or avoid.

the game has a really cool atmosphere and visuals. but it feels more unbalance and frustrating than fun to play as it is. its a game that gives you a very restricted set of tools and demands near perfect execution in a scenario where all the cards are stacked against you

grinding levels doesn't feel practical, minimizing health loss is the most important part of the game and you do not get healed on a lvl up. So once you use the very limited amount of heals you are essentially soft locked out of progressing and you have to restart from the last save. unless you have mastery over the movement system and can kite every fight without taking a single hit. the only way to really grind your level is to perfectly clear a fight without taking damage then immediately go save and repeat the process.

great game.

roleplay as a alcoholic drug addicted cop on the edge of mental breakdown.

gameplay is like a point and click visual novel with tabletop rpg mechanics and a top down prespective.

runs decent on the steam deck. but its a high power draw game the deck will be running on the hotter side. locking at 40fps and messing with the settings you can get it down to like 10-14w of power draw and like 2-3 hours of play time. visuals are okay there tends to be alot of flickering lines on far away objects in the backgound.

the gameplay is fun if you like cover shooters.
it has a good looking map.
players are pretty friendly in pve
great game for min maxxers or people that wanna spend time making builds
good end game

there is still a decent ammount of players but not enough for matchmaking to work. you will need friends to really get the most out of the game. or follow a solo build guide. matchmaking system is like a 2/10.

lack of a add friend button in game

enemies are super spongy.

cant resume a reload mid way so if you do anything it will cancel the reload it you have to start from the beggining of the reload every time

difficulty is either pitifuly easy or impossibly hard.

just a ton of junk loot constantly dropping. having to spend 30 min after every few missions to delete junk. your gonna delete 90% of teh stuff you pick up cuz its useless

the ui and menus are just way too confusing. theres just a ton of nonsense and repetitive tabs you have to learn how to use and navigate.

objectives, locations, mission for projects/manhunts/ ect are super vauge and poorly worded and aren't ever marked on the map when tracked causing alot of confusion and compleatly hinders progression if you dont wanna look up how to do everything online

you're gonna get hit with a barrage of spend money please popups when you start

the lighting in the game needs alot of improvments. lights sources get so bright you are you constantlly blinded, half the time your just shooting blindly at ping markers in the distance because you cannot see anything.

audio balance is terrible. Shooting your gun is so much louder than all the other audio in the game. The audio adjustments are awful. Since all the in game audio is tied to the SFX slider when you turn the slider down so the gunshots become quiet it causes all the other ambient sounds in the game to become muted. and then the only thing you hear is the gunshots and nothing else.

id recomend the game but being that its a always online game in the end its gonna be a waste of time and money when the servers shut down and the game becomes unplayable.

You pretty much have to buy the highest tier edition of you will be locked out of alot of activities
everything is like designed to try and get money from you

they give you a good amount of cometic loot boxes but they drop an insane amount of duplicate clothing items. kinda sucks when all the exotic pulls end up being the same item
