I saw the lights drawn to another, without thinking

What was made holds a lingered sentimentality

Connections hardly forgotten past rising sunbeams

Not forgotten, despite the intensity of our star

We take time to wait for those distant lights

Looking for those connections once more

A distraction

Keeping me from moving,

From change


A quiet voice makes time to observe
Eventually, with time, she'll see the day
And learn to view the lights differently
