pretty good game, i probably remember nothing about the original but this just feels like an entirely different game which isn't a bad thing because it is really fun and after a 14 hour first play through i already want to go back in on a higher difficulty and do all over again. parrying is kinda cool i didn't use it a whole lot, i was more about stunning enemies and kicking like the original or just completely ignoring enemies to save ammo but its a cool idea doesn't really change the game besides the one section of the game thats dedicated to only using a knife to learn how to parry if you couldn't figure out how to do it in the village on top of that its really generous with timing atleast on standard
