This isn't a game you play for the story. Once you get past that and start understanding the mechanics and the variety of stuff to do in the game, it really sticks in your head. The fact that the developers are listening to feedback and pushing out quality of life improvements in each update is the cherry on top. Don't ♥♥♥♥ this up, Pearl Abyss! You might have gold on your hands.

I downloaded it and launched it just so i could say: This game is not ready for an early access release.

EDIT: So we now know why the game released into early access on Steam. It was to avoid class action lawsuits when the game inevitably got canceled this morning.

Lossless Scaling is one of the best, if not the best, tool you can get for gaming. More Frames, a great upscaler, and painfree borderless gaming. For those that play old games, just set the game to windowed and scale it. That's how easy it is

EDIT #1: Doing my civic duty of returning this to positive.

Several pay to win microtransactions in a single player game, ♥♥♥♥ optimization, and no way to start a new game / only one save allowed?!!! Actual gameplay is decent, but that means nothing when all of the above is present. I hope you burn for this.

The game i've been waiting for, for almost two decades. Stunning visuals, great story, and the gameplay is very fun. The performance lacks, but nothing that can't be fixed with patches.

Runs about as good as Oracle does...

9.1 hrs on steam and 6 of those were spent in character creation agonizing on what character i want to build...

This game is really fun with friends. I don't usually enjoy many survival games but this one has it's charms and quirks. It's really quite relaxing.
