CS:GO is a shooter game on Steam, it is the 2nd most sold game on Steam. It's popularity started out when Minh Lee and Jeff Cliff wanted to create a game based on terrorism and counter-terrorism. So, they eventually started to create a mod for Valve™'s game Half Life. On June 19, 1999. ( Thats a lot of 9's ) Minh Lee and Jeff Cliff released the first public beta called cstrike_v1. Fans loved the game so very much that the creators ( Minh Lee and Jeff Cliff ) never needed to make any maps. The fans would make maps and post it on the official web site for them. Then further on as the game upgraded to what is now CS:GO it was one of the best selling FPS games ever released on Steam. As I have played the game for almost 1,000 hours I think the game is one of my favorites. What I love about it is that it takes lots of strategy to get better at the game. The only thing I don't like about CS:GO is that the matchmaking ( competitive ) has many problems with ranking people with other people the rank about the player's rank. Such as smurfs, hackers, and ect.
If you don't know what a smurf is, it is a person who makes a new account, gets CS:GO, and then plays at a higher rank against much lower ranks. It is one of the most annoying problems for all players. But everything else in my opinion is fine. CS:GO is just a buy then play game. It does have keys, gun skins, and knife skins but those are only accessories you choose to get. You do not get any upgrades having them.
