First off I want to thank Team Cherry for making this amazing game. I have simple quality standards when it comes to the cost of games 1$=1 hour of content. Hollow Knight with its free dlc is 15$ and at the time of writing this review I am currently standing at over 50 hours of playtime which i don’t usually get out of any 60$ AAA game. Hollow Knight has changed my view on gaming I once believed music and visuals are not important to a game but Hollow Knight proved me wrong with its stunning visuals and legendary soundtrack making each area feel unique and different. The bosses are challenging yet fair ( I hate to make this comparison) like dark souls when you die you know it’s your fault and you have to adapt and learn to take on the boss and when you do their is no better feeling than overcoming that tough obstacle. The story of this is so intricately designed that you don’t have read any dialogue or talk to any NPCs to understand what’s going but that’s as much as I’m going to say about the story because I don’t want to spoil this godlike game. The free DLC in this game is amazing, the fact that Team Cherry kept releasing content for Hollow Knight is enough but when the DLC turned out to be amazing it was like gods gift to us. The endings... well I’m not going to spoil it but... their so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. The animated cut scenes are so good in this game simply because of the fact of how seemless they are so it doesn’t feel like your being taken out of the game to be forced exposition but rather the game is bestowing upon you a glorious piece of the story. At the time of this review I am at 105% currently working towards the vanilla 100% and it has been a blast going through areas I’ve previously explored searching all the nooks and crannies (Note I am not using a guide for 100% game completion)
Conclusion
Hollow Knight is truly a game that will stand the test of time and set the new standard for any Metroidvanias to be released. As my man Dunkey once said “Hollow Knight is a mastapiece for yo wallet”.

I know it has been many years since Hollow Knights release and I have just recently picked the game up 3 weeks ago but I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good gaming experience.
