From the art style, to the writing, the world building and the characters, I really cannot find many faults with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. One of the best gaming experiences I had in 2025.

Complementing the typical elements of Metroidvanias with gorgeous artwork and soundtrack and with tight controls, I cannot recommend enough Hollow Knight.

Engaging, difficult and really satisfying, Hollow Knight brings you into Hallownest a dangerous world inhabited by a myriad of bugs, full of secrets and ghosts, characterized by a glorious past, but now rotten and decadent.

What's more: Free content and really great developers!

Quite fun to be played in coop with a bunch of friends. Compared to the first installment, there's a massive quantity of missions, most of which can be played also stealthily. There's a pretty good character progression system, but I feel it's pretty unbalanced, in terms of sheer quantity, when it comes to feats/perks useful when you want to go stealth: it's pretty evident that 75% of skills are only useful for loud missions.

Lots of DLCs, behind whose paywall you can find more missions and more weapons, I don't own any of those, so I can't speak about their quality or worthiness. Unfortunately you can't anymore buy those dlcs individually, so, even if you are only interested in a couple of them, you have to shell out money for all of them.

Overall, it's a pretty good game, fun with friends, and now that it's being sold with all the dlcs there's no more a DLC paywall, other than the purchase price (obviously).

With its short and inconclusive story, I don't feel like I would suggest purchasing this last installment of the Trine series. Whereas I loved the previous 2 chapters, I really feel this one is the most lacking in terms of:

* Puzzle difficulty, there's really no challenge in any of the levels and the 3D component just feels underused, even though could have been a major feature in this particular scope
* PC skills development, as in you can't learn more skills for Pontius, Zoya and Amadeus, other than the ones you start with
* Story. Really, it just feels rushed and looks like the game should have had 2 more acts (the game in the current state being the first act)
* Polishing, whereas from the graphical point of view Trine 3 is really excellent, a real pleasure to the eye, I encountered several bugs in my playthrough (coop mode). From the inability to join the level chosen by the host, to the invisibility of one of the players and the glitches with the more mobile parts of the puzzles (platforms, ropes and so on)

As mentioned in the first bullet of the previous list, the 3D component ended up being a delusion, becoming more of an obstacle when the perspective mattered.

Grim Fandango, this fine point & click adventure I'm about to write about, follows the story of the spooky Eighth Heaven travel agent Manuel Calavera, in noir-tinted story not shy of fun characters, memorable moments and a fair number of puzzles.

All the good I can think of this game starts with its smart writing: each conversation, spoken line and interaction with other characters (or objects) is rich in content and meaning and gives the opportunity to deepen the player's knowledge of the world he/she is in, other than to get to know all of the tormented souls of the Eighth Heaven. Every single character, from Glottis, to Meche and Salvador is memorable, thanks to the already praised writing.

From the puzzles' point of view, each puzzle has a fair difficulty and, even though you will encounter easier ones and harder ones, they won't ever be impossible to solve: just think a little, about all the possible interactions of the items you have, in all the possible locations you can go (explore thoroughly every location!)

All in all, I think it's one of the best in its genre and an absolute must play for every gamer.

I could define this game as a "Retro-styled Psycho Top-down Massacre Shooter" full of graphic violence with an hammering psychedelic electronic soundtrack.

I can't recommend it enough, since it's one of my favourite indie games of all time.

I could stop talking about its action packed and non-forgiving gameplay which provided many hours of fun slaughtering with a fair challenge ever present, or maybe about its cool plot that makes you wander through the mind of an ice-cold schizofrenic main character or, more simply, about the fact that, all in all, Hotline Miami is a true modern masterpiece able to give the player a great experience under any department, from the visuals to the sounds and gameplay.

Yeah, I could be talking about that, but, still, you should play it and really try it on hand. And you have no excuse since it goes on sale dirty cheap every steam sale.

So, what should I say about this game? Simply wonderful. One of finest examples of horror survival shooter with RPG elements, which is able to engage the player with a brilliant story with many plot twists (ok, not so many, but they're very good), and a great atmosphere conveyed by spot on sound effects and an hammering electronic soundtrack.

Great value of replayability, since you can try to beat the game going full melee, soldier, hacker or psionic, or a mix between these main classes.

I guess it can be considered the father of most modern shooter games, since it embodies all of the characteristics you can find in games like Dead Space and Bioshock (obviously, it comes from the same devs).
I must say I really enjoyed every single minute I've played System Shock 2 and I am forced to recommend to anyone this gem.

Monaco is a very fun game: you can play in singleplayer mode as well with up to 3 friends using one among 8 characters with different special skills (yes, it's much more fun playing with friends). Every level is pretty much unique and you can approach at it in many different ways, according to the members of your party. Obviously the stealthier the better. At the end of every level your score is based upon the time you spent finishing the level (that is catching the main objectives) to which will be added a penalty that will be as big as he coins you missed during the level.

Artistically speaking, we're dealing with a jewel: your screen will be invaded by any sort of color and the retro style is something simply beatiful.

Base gameplay is already various, but it's additionally enhanced by the presence of the zombie mode which is very difficult, even though I haven't played very much.
In addition to what I've already written, there are many interesting community levels which can help you learn the basics of the classes and many tricks.

In the end: I absolutely recommend this game because it's simply one of the best and deep coop experiences you can find.

Esilarante e divertente da giocare come solo un Monkey Island può essere. La difficoltà è ben calibrata e non risulta troppo frustrante, anche grazie alle varie modalità di aiuto che il gioco mette a disposizione.

Stra-consiglio a tutti coloro che amano le avventure punta e clicca: non si può rimanere delusi da Monkey Island 2

PS: soprattutto per i vari richiami e easter eggs, sarebbe meglio aver giocato il primo

Uno dei migliori giochi di sempre: un singleplayer stupendo, ironico e divertente, la cooperativa ingegnosa e fatta benissimo, le camere di test della comunità quando hai finito tutto nel gioco.
